In a quest to purchase his own non-alcoholic beer, Bero, Tom Holland was met with a hilariously awkward rejection of his ID at the check-out at Target after looking everywhere for the drink.
He shared the experience on Instagram

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Tom Holland, who is 28 years old, took his fans with him on a quest to find his non-alcoholic beer brand, Bero, in US stores on Tuesday 18 February.
“So I haven’t been in the [United] States for a while,” he shared in one Instagram Story while walking through a parking lot. “And I’m gonna go visit some Bero on the shelves, out in the wild.”
The series of clips took off with the search
As the explanation clip ended, the British actor posted another one of him inside the superstore. He was struggling to find his own product.
“This is the second Target I’ve been to because the last one I went to actually didn’t have it,” he said, before admitting, “Not the best marketing.”
The quest actually lasted a while
The Spider-Man actor had “no luck” in finding a display of Bero even at the second location, where he then said, “The hunt continues,” before taking to another Target to look for his product.
He determinedly said, “I will find some today.”
He found it at the third Target

At the third location, The Uncharted actor found Bero. Woohoo!
As he was walking down the isles of the third Target, he said, “This is a bigger Target, so I feel more hopeful,” before grinning when he saw the product on the shelves.
The Bero cases were available in three different colors: red, green, or gold, or you could get one with all three.
Holland finally found the drink

The adventure ended with the actor back in a parking lot, sharing that he finally got hold of his Bero, but not without a challenge.
“Okay, so success, I found some,” he said while showing off the gold case of Bero in his arms. “I bought it.”
It didn’t come without an awkward interaction

Although the actor finally obtained his Bero, it certainly didn’t come without a hilariously awkward interaction with workers at the check-out. They wouldn’t accept his ID.
He laughed, sharing, “They wouldn’t accept my ID because it’s English and I couldn’t prove my age, so a really lovely employee, I guess, scanned their ID.”
He found the whole thing funny
“Kind of ironic that I wasn’t allowed to buy my own product,” he said. Well, I guess there are downsides to looking young after all.
The actor previously explained the reasoning behind creating Bero, telling People, “When I ventured into the non-alcoholic world, I realized there was a void for a true, premium brand. I ultimately created Bero for myself because I was craving a product that helped me feel included.”
Holland created Bero to help people fit in
“I wanted to build a brand that not only stands out but, most importantly, helps people to fit in. I’m so excited to bring Bero to Target, available to shop now nationwide,” he added.
The 28-year-old’s youthful face has certainly come with its awkward situations, but hey, success in the end!
