TikTok Trend Asking High Schoolers What Age They Consider ‘Old’ Has Us All in Tears

A viral TikTok from the Prince Albert Raiders Hockey team is going viral for all the wrong reasons (or right, depending on how old you are). The clip features teenage boys born after 2000 being asked what age they consider “old” — and let’s just say, if you were born in the ’80s or ’90s, you might want to sit down for this.

In the video, these literal babies are casually asked what age they consider “old,” and their answers are…painful.

Spoiler alert: anything before the year 2000 is practically ancient to them. Millennials and Gen Xers everywhere are clutching their walkers and shaking their heads.

One kid said, “Mid-1980s,” with a straight face, like that wasn’t going to emotionally destroy anyone born before ’95.

The comments are full of ‘80s kids absolutely losing it — as they should.

And it only got worse from there. Another genius declared that “anything before 2000” is old.

I mean, really, the audacity. Apparently, if you remember Y2K, you’re considered prehistoric — I’m sorry to say.

One guy threw out “1994” like it’s some relic of a bygone era.

These kids really believe that if you’re 30 and over, your days living outside of a retirement home are numbered.

As expected, the comment section of the TikTok was pure comedy gold.

One user joked, “We’re not gonna talk about how that kid said over 2000.” Yep, some of us are still trying to process that.

Another weighed in, writing, “It stung when he specifically said ’89.”

All of it was quite offensive but I’m betting the 34-year-olds in the comments felt personally victimized by that one. “I was born in ’89, come on, 34 is not old!” someone protested.

Elder Millennials are considered over the hill at this point — aging gracefully is still a thing, right?

“I’d like to have a word with these young men,” one user chimed in, probably with an eye roll. Millennials have clearly had it with this TikTok generation.

“First of all, how dare you,” one user quipped.

This is a completely justifiable response to have, here. Somebody has to set the record straight for these kids so they stop aging us.

“To be fair, I still think everyone born after 2000 is still a baby,” another commenter fired back.

Honestly, facts. If you don’t remember VHS tapes, you’re still a toddler.

“I feel attacked,” wrote another millennial.

Same. These kids came out swinging and we were not prepared to be this humbled.

One TikTok user dropped some truth that today’s youth hasn’t learned yet — but they will.

“If they only knew how fast time flies, they’ll be in their 30s before they blink,” they wrote.

Ah, yes, the sweet irony. These teens will feel their 20s slip through their fingers soon enough.

“Yeah, they’ll realize soon enough how wrong they were, just like we did,” someone else agreed.

Time really does come for all of us, doesn’t it? There is no stopping this train.

That specific number was quite rude. We’re all laughing through the tears, I fear.
