What started as a healthier alternative to smoking cigarettes turned out to be more harm than good as well. Many people who were never smokers in the first place took to vaping, exposing themselves to its harmful chemicals.
Quitting vaping will make your body thank you for it, and you will notice stark differences in a short period of time.
People who were never smokers resorted to vaping

In 2024, a study showed that one million people in the UK who claimed to vape had never been past smokers before that.
While vaping can be a better alternative to smoking cigarettes, it still has its dire effects, especially for those who have never smoked before.
The effects can appear within hours

With studies digging extensively into the effects of vaping, people are headed towards quitting the habit and their bodies will thank them for it.
Dr. James Durl explained in a YouTube video by Blurred Minds that just within hours of quitting, you will start noticing changes.
There will be withdrawal symptoms, though

“Within a few hours of quitting, you’ll notice physical and psychological symptoms from the nicotine withdrawals. These include anxiety, sweating, tremors, and more,” explained Dr. Durl.
While these can be scary and discomforting, what awaits after is better.
Things get better by the second day

“By the second day, your risk of having a heart attack decreases significantly since your blood pressure starts to lower,” Dr Durl elaborated.
By the third day, nicotine will no longer be in your system. Yes, that might make your withdrawal symptoms peak, but it is physically better for your body.
They get even better by day 15 and after a month
By the 15th day, your blood circulation will have gotten better, and “you’ll be able to notice better lung function, heart function, and even muscle circulation.”
“By a month, your lung capacity will have fully bounced back. You’ll see a huge improvement in shortness of breath and less coughing,” Dr Durl continued.
After two and three months, all will be back to normal

“By two months, cilia, which clears out mucus and reduces infection in the lungs, will begin to grow and function normally,” Dr. Durl shared.
Finally, by three months’ time, blood vessels will have returned to a “normal diameter,” this, in turn, will increase blood flow, which means less likelihood of having erectile dysfunction, heart problems, and lung problems.
