Beauty trends just keep getting wilder and wilder.
It’s like, yeah, I would probably trust Oprah Winfrey if she told me that chewing tree branches made my pee smell like tulips, but I wouldn’t be pleased while I did it.
Skin treatments in particular have always been, um…interesting.

From vampire facials to real gold skin treatments , there is never a shortage of weird and expensive things to do to your skin.
Beauty companies have long used placenta in their anti-aging treatments , and though it seems gross at first, the stuff is actually packed with tons of enzymes that keep your skin fresh.
One celebrity beauty expert is recommending a new kind of facial for us skincare enthusiasts.
Chelsee Lewis, a facialist who has worked with stars such as Stella McCartney and Gwyneth Paltrow, spoke to MailOnline about how lathering semen on your face has anti-aging properties.
Yep, you heard that right. A sperm face mask.

“It’s one of the best ways to boost oxygen and improve circulation to the skin, which will give you an immediate glow,” Chelsee says. “Sexual intercourse helps the stress hormone but also helps to balance the hormones and improve collagen production. But you can go one step further with a sperm mask.”
There’s even a science behind it.
“Using your partner’s sperm as a mask is full of a compound called spermine,” she explains, “which is an antioxidant which can help reduce wrinkles, smooth the skin, prevent acne or spots and give you overall healthy-looking skin.”
Am I the only one who thinks that we may have crossed a line here?
Semen contains over 200 kinds of protein , which can be beneficial for your skin, hair, and nails.
But just because something can work, doesn’t necessarily mean we should be doing it. Drinking oil of oregano is also good for you, but it’s high key disgusting.
Lewis also recommends swishing coconut oil in around in your mouth before brushing your teeth.
Apparently it has benefits such as “antibacterial and antioxidant – it also boosts energy, gives you whiter, stronger teeth and helps clear the skin of impurities, acne and rashes.”
I don’t know what to believe at this point. This lady just told me to cover my face in semen.
If sperm isn’t your cup of tea, she also recommends splashing ice water on your face.

“This is one of my favourites for waking up tired-looking skin,” she explains. “Fill the sink with ice cubes and cold water and splash the face 15 to 20 times before applying your makeup. It will leave your skin feeling tighter and brighter, and your makeup will sit beautifully.”
Word has gotten out about the semen facial and people have a lot of thoughts.
Let’s face it—we all have the emotional maturity of a baby duck, so it’s only natural that we’d find it difficult to look at something like sperm in a strictly scientific way.
Some folks are actually open to the idea.
This may have been a thing even before Chelsee recommended it. Like an old wives’ tale. I’m sure if you ask around, you’ll get a straight up answer.
But others are not having it.
Honestly @JarrodBrandin, you’re right to be questioning this. Why would someone make a face mask out of sperm?
And is this a potentially offered treatment at a spa or like a DIY kinda deal?
How did we get to this point?

What happened to those cute cucumber over the eye spa treatments that were $12 and made you feel like you had your life together?
If you want to try the sperm face mask, all the power to you. However, don’t feel pressured to do anything just because it’s a current trend.
