In a recent interview, plastic surgeon and TV personality Terry Dubrow spoke about his colorful life with his kids as three of them are part of the LGBTQ+ community.
He also shared how he and his wife Heather Dubrow show them support.
They have four kids between them

Terry and Heather Dubrow have four kids between them: son Nick, 21, and his twin sister Max, who came out as bisexual, 18-year-old Kat who shared she was gay, as well as 14-year-old Ace who came out as transgender.
Terry often makes a remark about the kids to his wife
In a recent interview with E! News, Terry said that he will sometimes remark to his wife that “we have such a rainbow of kids.”
He explained that Heather “used to say to me, not complaining, but just that it’s unusual that we’d have such a rainbow.”
He believes they were ‘chosen’ for it
Terry added that in response to his wife, he would say, “We were chosen for it. That’s what we’re supposed to do with our platform.”
The Botched Presents: Plastic Surgery Rewind star further added that this is what he’d been given by the universe.
He joked about being a billionaire instead
Joking, Terry added, “Would I prefer to be chosen for being a multi-billionaire building hospitals all over the world like Bill Gates and treating disease and flying around in a Boeing business jet? Maybe.”
“But that’s not the platform that I was given by the universe. So, this is the platform, and I recognize that. And I’m grateful for that.”
They’re quite the supportive parents
Terry and his wife of 26 years are quite the supportive parents. He said, “If we can change hearts and minds by showing how our version of a normal, supportive family can be, we’re in.”
“We try to be role models for these conversations, and that’s the platform that Heather and I have been chosen to have and to put out there. And we’re honored,” the 66-year-old added.
Terry praised his wife Heather
In the interview, Terry also made sure to praise his wife, calling her the “most fabulous mother and wife” for serving as his guide.
“Act like there are cameras around and that you’re going to be held accountable for the way you act,” the reality show star said, adding, “That immediately removes all of your preconceived douchiness you might have.”
He makes sure to listen to his kids

Terry explained, “Give your kids a supportive, loving environment. That’s the perfect place to start.” Putting it simply, he said to just listen to the kids.
“You may have your biases and your preconceived notions, but it ain’t about you, it’s about them, and they live in a completely different world than you grew up in,” he said. “We all know the right thing to do. We all know the right way to act with our kids.”
