Steve Irwin, AKA, The Crocodile Hunter’s daughter, Bindi, is engaged, and although he sadly can’t be there to celebrate with his family, his wife, Terri, believes that he would be “so very happy”.
Steve Irwin, the Australian zookeeper and conservationist known as ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ was a staple in many of our childhoods.
He lived a truly extraordinary life.

He met his wife, Terri, in 1991 while visiting wildlife rehabilitation facilities in Australia.
The pair were engaged four months later and were married by summer, 1992.
They had their first child together, Bindi, in 1998, and their second, Robert, in 2003.
He once described his daughter as “the reason [he] was put on the Earth,” according to Terri. “The only thing that could ever keep him away from the animals he loves are the people he loves even more.”
Sadly, Steve tragically passed away in 2006 after a stingray attack to the heart.
He was stabbed by the stingray “hundreds of times” before he sadly met his demise .
Now, Steve’s children are all grown up.
Bindi, who just celebrated her 21st birthday, is now engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Chandler Powell, and her family couldn’t be happier for her.
Chandler actually popped the question on Bindi’s birthday.

She’s one lucky lady!
Bindi announced the news on her socials, with two photos of herself and Chandler.
“On my birthday I said ‘yes’ & ‘forever’ to the love of my life,” she wrote.
“Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you,” she continued.
“& every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure & true happiness .”
“Here’s to a lifetime of friendship, purpose & unconditional love,” she added.
In an interview with People , Bindi shared her excitement in even more detail — gushing over her shiny new fiancé.
“I am overjoyed to be sharing the news that Chandler and I are engaged!,” she said.
“This has been the most special day celebrating my 21st birthday.”
“I’ve met my soulmate and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with Chandler,” she continued.
“We’ve been together for nearly 6 years now and he’s my happily ever after. ”
Chandler also chimed in with his take on the engagement.
He called it “the most perfect and beautiful day of my life.”
How romantic!
Terri seems to be absolutely over the moon about the news of her daughter’s engagement.
She couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Chandler into the family!
She congratulated her daughter’s engagement with a heartfelt message on Twitter.
“Best day ever! Chandler asked and beautiful @BindiIrwin said yes,” she wrote .
She added that she knows Steve would be just as happy over the news.
“I am so very happy, and I know Steve would be too. Congratulations!!”
