It’s hard for anyone to top a well-decorated Christmas Tree, but Donatella Versace did in an eye-catching purple dress from her fashion brand. The renowned designer wished her Instagram followers a happy holiday while advocating for the Elton John AIDs Foundation.
The 67-year-old showed off her design and fashion talents by coordinating her dress with her Christmas Tree and gift boxes. She implored the 9.5 million followers to create awareness for HIV/AIDS this holiday.

Donatella posed in a royal purple maxi dress with a corseted bodice and matching platform boots for her Christmas card. The designer wore her signature blonde hair in a straightened style with side bangs and accessorized the look lightly with a bracelet.
She wore smoky black eyeliner and glossy nude lipstick to highlight the rich purple on her dress. Donatella’s Christmas tree had a violet and silver theme, hence her outfit choice.
Lifelong Friendship With The ETAF Founder
The designer added a link in her bio to the Elton John AIDS Foundation asking people to donate this holiday. She wrote,
“This holiday season, please help raise awareness about HIV by talking to your friends and family, helping to break down the stigma. Together we can end AIDS by 2030!”
John and Versace are long-time friends and have been each other’s support for a long time. In 2010, the British singer staged an intervention for his friend’s drug addiction during her daughter’s 18th birthday party.
The Elton John Foundation
Donatella has been a proud patron of The Elton John AIDS Foundation for years and always reminds everyone to spread HIV/AIDS awareness. The ETAF launched thirty years ago and became one of the leading AIDS research organizations worldwide.
The goal is to end AIDS deaths and spread by 2030, and the organization is on its way to success. It’s done well in helping people with AIDS worldwide. This year, Donatella wasn’t the only major patron contributing to the holidays.
The foundation’s record stands at, “5 million lives saved, $525 million raised worldwide, and 3,000 projects supported.”

A few days ago, the designer threw a holiday party via her fashion company’s brand in Milan, Italy. She dressed for the party in a Cheetah-print mini dress and thigh-high black platform boots, all from her eponymous brand.
Donatella enlisted Italian celebrities Chiara Ferragni and Fedez as the host for the night, and they delivered effortlessly. The duo dressed in Versace all-black clothing, with Fedez wearing a branded t-shirt in a suit and Ferragni wearing a maxi dress with platform heels.
