Even though Steve Irwin’s tragic death in 2006 left us all devastated, his family has continued to honor him, and keep his spirit very much alive, and there’s no doubt that Steve would be incredibly proud.
The Irwin family is having a really great year.

Bindi Irwin has recently gotten engaged.
And they’ve all been continuing on his legacy of activism and work at The Australia Zoo.
Robert Irwin is only fifteen and he’s already accomplished so much that Steve would be proud of.
Not only has he continued in his father’s footsteps at the Australia Zoo, but he also does wildlife photography.
He also shared this shot where he recreated a moment with his dad.
He captioned the post, “Dad and me feeding Murray… same place, same croc – two photos 15 years apart.”
He also helped set up his sister’s engagement shoot.
Bindi shared the photos Robert took on Instagram, writing, “I never even knew Robert was there photographing and I’ll always be grateful to have these special memories of the most amazing day of my life.”
Bindi has also revealed that she plans to have Robert walk her down the aisle.
Bindi has said , “I think that for me, it’ll be really important that Robert walks me down the aisle. I think that’s what Dad would have wanted as well.”
Now, on top of all of that, Robert can add something else to his list — high school graduate!
And he’s only 15-years-old!
Terri shared this photo, and the exciting news on Twitter.
“So proud of @RobertIrwin. Today he graduated high school. Two years early. Well done! I feel incredibly blessed to have such wonderful kids!” she wrote.
Bindi, also celebrated the exciting news on Twitter, congratulating her younger brother on his major accomplishment.
I’m sure we’ll see Robert continue to work at the Australia Zoo, which is owned by his family.
There’s no doubt that he’s determined to follow in Steve’s footsteps.
Graduating high school two years ahead of schedule is no joke.
Congratulations, Robert!
Robert shared a post on his Instagram noting the occassion as well.
“Well, this is it,” he wrote alongside a picture of him at a laptop holding onto a pug while, presumably, studying.
“Over a decade of study…”
“…in planes, trains and thousands of hotel rooms in all corners of the world, and today I’ve graduated from high school.”
“Grade 12 and 2 TAFE certificates done!”
He closed off his post on an optimistic note, writing “Excited for what’s ahead…”
What else would we expect from an Irwin?
Bindi left another note of congratulations on the post.
I don’t think anyone’s ever been as proud of me as Bindi is of her brother, and I’ve had plenty of people be proud of me!
The family was inundated with congratulations and well-wishes.
And, of course, someone pointing out that Robert is incredibly tall for his age.
Genetics have blessed him in more ways than one!
