Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sprinkled a little fun in the House of Commons in Ottawa on Monday as he was seen sticking his tongue out while carrying a chair on his way out of the place.
Social media didn’t miss the chance to pick up the pace with Trudeau and make jokes as well while others didn’t approve of the gesture.
Why he was in the House of Commons
The aim of the meetup at the House of Commons was for Trudeau to meet up with the designated Liberal leader and Prime Minister Mark Carney so that Carney could take the lead after his win at the Sunday party election.
The transition was supposed to be “seamless” and “quick”
While Carney told the reporters on Parliament Hill that he expected the transition to be “seamless” and “quick,” Trudeau begged to differ, as a journalist caught a photo of him carrying his House of Commons chair while sticking his tongue out.
People online praised his sense of humor
Trudeau’s gesture gained online attention instantaneously, with one of the users saying: “Trudeau’s reaction says it all, ‘finally I have a normal life and enjoy nature.'”
Another user added: “This is the pic! Thank you PM Trudeau.”
The reactions continued

“His face reminds me of the Māori people’s Haka dance,” another person said. “He don’t care. He made his millions, and the new guy will make his,” another one hilariously added.
“What was this circus all about??,” one person curiously asked. “He’s too funny!” another one joked.
He faced harsh criticism, too
“What a childish man. That’s a real photo. That’s really what he’s like.” Rebel News publisher Ezra Levant wrote.
Former British Columbia Conservative Party spokesperson Dean Skoreyko shared past instances of Trudeau’s tongue out, saying: “Justin Trudeau has a weird tongue fetish thing.”
This may be his parting picture
“Really, you want that to be your parting picture. I’m shocked you didn’t show more disdain. What a gross PM he’s been, and I’m being kind.” Another user commented.
Trudeau carrying the chair is part of a tradition, and not a rebellious act. However, him sticking his tongue out while carrying it speaks volumes.
