Hadid concluded her address about leaving Twitter by apologizing to her fans for choosing to stay away from the app. She then added that she didn’t think it was a safe space for anyone and did not think it would do more “good than harm.”
Hadid also addressed how the new Twitter CEO laid off the Twitter workforce, including the human rights team. Grammy-winning vocalist Toni Braxton also exited the app weeks into Musk’s takeover. Before leaving, Braxton noted that she was appalled by the free speech content she had been seeing. Braxton shared that hate speech disguised as free speech was unacceptable, so she decided to stay off the app.

A few weeks back, Musk implemented many changes in Twitter and announced that users can now get the Twitter blue verification with a stipulated payment. In the past, the verification badge was often seen on the official accounts of celebrities, companies, and politicians.
However, Musk made it such that regular app users could get Twitter blue at $8 and on a monthly subscription to keep it. He also said that there will be access to make longer videos, and the ads will be reduced to more relevant ones.
