You know what we love to see? Queens supporting QUEENS!!!!
You know what else we love to see?! POP QUEENS supporting each other in a famously fickle industry while keeping it cute and classy. And you know what? That’s exactly what pop queen Sia just gave us after explaining her friendship with fellow pop queen, Katy Perry!

Katy Perry is famously a ray of sunshine. I mean seriously, the woman is GOLDEN!!!!!

But as we all know, no one can be happy all the time, and the pressure of being a high profile celebrity has taken it’s toll on the California Girls singer before.
In times of stress and sadness, friends are a great way to relieve the pressure and enjoy a laugh or two and a glass(es) of wine!

Speaking with The LA Times Sia explained how she helped Katy through a mental health crisis.
The pair met back in 2014 and have been good friends ever since.
It wasn’t until 2017, however, that Sia became a true companion to Katy while the pop star was suffering a particularly bad year.

2017 saw Katy’s album Witness not receive the success she had hoped for, in addition to a breakup with now future-hubby, Orlando Bloom.
“She had a real breakdown,” Sia told the publication.
“She’s on stage with 10 candied lollipops and clowns and dancers, selling the dream, the joy, the happiness — and that’s really hard sometimes when you’re not feeling it yourself,” Sia explained.

She went on to say that she didn’t realize Katy was “so reliant on that validation for her psychological well-being,” but that “getting number ones does nothing for your inside.”
Thankfully, Katy is doing much better these days after a mixture of Transcendental Meditation, medication, and a week-long healing retreat.

The 35-year-old’s new album Smile will be released on August 28th, and will detail her experience with her mental health crisis and how she found her happiness again.
We love you, Katy!
