Actor Richard Roat, best known for his roles on many hit sitcoms such as Friends , Seinfield, Golden Girls, and Cheers , has passed away. He was 89.
Richard’s wife Kathy Roat confirmed the news of her husband’s death to “Variety” this week.
She said her actor husband died on August 5th in Orange County.
In “Seinfeld” Richard played Dr. Berg during the show’s 8th season. In the episode titled “The Package”, he labeled Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ character Elaine a “difficult patient.”
In Friends , Richard played Burt, a concerned colleague who caught Ross dating a student.
