Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. are defying the odds!
The long-lasting Hollywood couple recently celebrated their 17th-anniversary together, and now Sarah is dishing out all the relationship advice!

Making a marriage last in Hollywood is no easy feat, but Sarah Michelle Geller and Freddie Prinze Jr. have defied the odds.
The adorable pair have been together now for almost two decades!
Together, they have two kids, Charlotte, 10, and a son named Rocky, 7.
They first met while filming the hit teen horror flick, “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”
For years, they remained in the friend zone.
“We just became friends. That’s one of the reasons I think our relationship has always been so good,” Prinze told E!
“We were friends for a good two years before we ever went on a date.”
Surprisingly, their date, which took place in 2002, happened accidentally !
The other person who was supposed to join them for dinner ended up canceling last minute.
From there, things were simply meant to be <3
Prinze spoke to The Huffington Post about the early years in their relationship and how they made things work.
“She knew the kind of guy I was,” he said of the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” actress. “I knew the kind of girl she was, and the trust part didn’t have to be earned because it already was.”
“We were fortunate enough to be at the right times in our lives where we both wanted something serious and it worked. So we’re lucky, but we also work very hard at it. It’s not just dumb luck, it’s work.”
“I Know What You Did Last Summer” wasn’t their only movie together.
Before their wedding, they starred in Scooby-Doo together, as Daphne Blake and Fred Jones.
The couple reprised their roles in 2004 for the second movie, “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.”
They’ve also voiced characters together in films, Happily N’Ever After and Star Wars Rebels .
Sarah recently dished to “Us Weekly” her secret to making their 17-year-marriage work.
Since they’re one of Hollywood’s longest-lasting couples, people want to hear alllll of their relationship advice.
Instead of sugar-coating things, Sarah got right to the point: relationships take a lot of work to maintain.
“I think the truth of any relationship is that, whether you’re a couple, whether you’re friends, whether you’re business partners, is you have to put the work into a relationship,” the actress, now 42, said.
“We live in a very disposable society and people don’t want to have to work.”
“They want immediate reactions, they want immediate responses. It takes work.”
She continued: “It takes work to have a good friendship. You have to call and check in and dedicate that time, and most people aren’t willing to put that work in.”
“So to have a successful relationship, whether it’s marriage, whether it’s friendship, whether it’s business, you have to put the time, if you want to see the results.”
Another secret she gave in order to keep a relationship alive is that “you have to have stuff that’s private and things that are your own and between the two of you.”
That can be tough in Hollywood, but these two make it work!
This isn’t the first time that both Sarah or Freddie have revealed their secrets to making marriage last.
In honor of her and Freddie’s 16-year anniversary, she posted hilarious marital advice on social media.
“Someone told me -Marriage is like a deck of cards. In the beginning all you need is two hearts and a diamond. But years later, you wish you had a club and a spade,” she captioned their adorable selfie.
Forget that, they did King and Queen cards since that’s what they are!
Almost two decades later, and we are still ‘shipping this couple, hard.
