The Reddit user and her ex-husband got a divorce a year ago. He was cheating for more than half the years of their marriage. Eventually, the Redditor discovered he was bisexual when she caught him in bed with a man and a woman. Soon after this discovery, they got a divorce.

The mom shared she gave their daughter a brief explanation for the divorce without outing her ex-husband. She had no intention of severing the father-and-daughter relationship. They wanted to protect their daughter from the harsh world.
Lately, their 15-year-old daughter started being disrespectful and hateful towards the Redditor. She got into a fit and said the Redditor ruined her life. Also, if her mother had closed her legs, their family would have been together.
The Redditor was angry and confused as to where her daughter heard that from. She asked her daughter but she refused to spill. The Redditor then called her ex-husband to ask if he turned the tables around. However, he dismissed it and claimed he knew nothing about it.
Still angry and confused, the Redditor decided to keep asking her daughter to reveal where she heard the information. Instead, her teenage daughter continued saying the Redditor was a terrible mom and chose sex over their family. She also blamed her mom for her parent’s separation. The Redditor then reached out to her family but they said they knew nothing either.
The Redditor later saw a message on her daughter’s phone and decided to check it out. It was from her ex-husband and she was curious so she strolled through. The teenager was texting her father that she was sick of living with the Redditor after all she did. However, her father did not correct her but agreed and consoled the teenager.
The Redditor placed a call to her ex-husband and even messaged him about it but he left her on read. She had to sit her daughter down to explain everything but left questions for him to answer. After this, the teenager apologized for holding her accountable for what she did not do.
However, the Redditor’s family and ex-husband’s family feel what she did was wrong. Although the Redditor did not do that to get revenge and did not divorce him for his sexuality either.
After reading the story, other Redditors supported the mom in correcting the story. One even suggested she takes legal action for parental alienation.
