Jackie Siegel, The Queen of Versailles superstar, finally gave her fans an update about her mega-mansion after 21 years since construction began.
The 59-year-old socialite posted a video on Instagram showcasing how far along they are, and looks like they’re near the finish line. She showed a huge part of the palatial estate, which has been valued at $100 million.
It is close to being done
The mega-mansion that was supposed to be done in 2020 is still not done despite us being in 2025. However, Siegel can be seen smiling in the video she posted on Instagram, enthusiastically saying: “Well, I’m over at Versailles and we’re getting closer. We’re getting closer to getting done.”
More about the estate
The estate despite being named Versailles, in reference to the French palace, is actually located in Florida in the USA. The luxurious estate features 14 bedrooms and 30 bathrooms.
The estate’s unbelievable opulence led to the stretching of its construction period and made it one of the most expensive homes in the United States.
Everything was awe-inspiring
Ranging from the mansion to her outfit, everything was dazzling. Siegel sported a high-necked scarlet outfit and a dark coat with large golden buttons that made her look elegant.
As for the Versaille, despite it not being finished, you can already tell it’s made to astound.
The grand ballroom and balconies

The video showed the ballroom with golden coffered ceilings in addition to a large round stained glass fixture in the ceiling’s center, to allow for the ornate chandelier to be hung.
Furthermore, there were multiple balconies that made it ideal for looking down at a party.
The ground floor
Considering the ground floor, it had two sets of elegant fanned-out staircases on either side of the room. However, Siegel preferred using the elevator to go down.
The staircases’ steps appeared to be finished but the railings were still under construction.
The workers were still there

When panning the camera from side to side to show the beauty of the work done so far, she failed to hide how much was still left to complete, and the workers working on the mansion.
Moreover, a small set of scaffolding was erected on the balcony for a worker to adjust the molding.
The video was coming to an end
The video was this close to being cut abruptly as Siegel wanted to catch the elevator’s door before it closed, and she thankfully did.
Inside the elevator, you can see that there was still painter’s tape along the door edges as workers continued to furnish the lavish estate.
More about the Siegels
Siegel’s husband, David, founded the Florida-based timeshare resort firm Westgate Resorts Ltd. Both he and Siegel began Versailles’ construction in 2004 in the Lake Butler Sound community in Orange County, Florida.
The construction halted in 2009, though, as David faced some financial difficulties due to the 2007–2008 financial crisis.
Thankfully, his business stabilized
Unfortunately, they had to put the mansion on the market for $65 million but luckily, David’s business stabilized in 2013 and he was able to buy the mansion back.
As if the financial crisis wasn’t enough, in 2022 the house was damaged by Hurricane Ian, causing losses amounting to $10 million.
The mansion was and still is a sensation

A documentary was made about the mansion in 2012 named The Queen Of Versailles and ever since its release, it has become a sensation.
Later in early 2022, the docuseries Queen Of Versailles Reigns Again debuted. It first aired on Discovery+ before moving to HBO Max later that year.
