However, with that much attention on them, people show them no mercy with their divorce rumors — especially when they’re not seen in events together. The Duke of Sussex finally addressed the surfacing divorce rumors and shared why he and the Duchess, 43, haven’t appeared together in their professional engagements.
They weren’t seen together
The Duchess was seen at the Paley Honors gala in Beverly Hills, whereas the Duke was attending The New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit in New York City on December 4. The New York Times journalist, Andrew Ross Sorkin, Questioned Prince Harry about it.

The Duke expressed how his relationship with the press has been turbulent from a very young age, reading news that was far from reality about himself, his family, and friends, which left him “questioning the validity of the information” he always reads.

Prince Harry tried to humorously answer the questions about the circulating rumors and speculations about his divorce, saying: “Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?”

When Sorkin asked the Duke of Sussex why he and Markle weren’t seen together in recent professional events, he humorously replied, saying: “Because you invited me, you should have known,” getting plenty of laughs from the audience in attendance.
How it all started
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex first met in 2016 after they were set up on a blind date. Both Prince Harry and Markle got married two years later and were blessed with two wonderful children together, Archie and Lilibet.
