The world does have a sense of humor — it’s just not the sort that we can always appreciate. I mean, sometimes the joke is on us, right? There’s always a twist!
And just when you think we can have nice things, along comes one of those twists to shed a different light on the matter.

This mussel had a tiny crab inside.
These little pea crabs aren’t that uncommon since the species lives inside the shells of mussels and even oysters. They’re totally edible, so consider them a little bonus snack.
You may think this is a cucumber, but it’s not.
These are actually slices of a lime with an ungodly amount of pith.
It’s pretty neat to see a hair follicle with stripes in it.
Those stripes are caused by medication, which turns the hair white — the different colors indicate when the person went on and off their meds.
All it takes to make the red-check pattern on this blanket disappear is a green light.

Light also greatly affects what grows around it.
As you can see, the leaves on this tree that are closest to the light love it enough that they haven’t changed with the season like the rest of the leaves.

Norway got to experience purple skies recently.
Purple skies typically show up after heavy rains, when large particles in the air get washed away, leaving smaller particles behind, which causes light to scatter .
“Reflection on window looks like massive spaceship landing,” wrote the uploader.
I wonder if Michael Bay knows about this? It could save some heavy CGI budget to just use the reflection off a window instead.
Great timing to catch this geyser just before it erupts in a shower of hot water.
