But we never expected a father’s day tribute from Chris Pratt’s new wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, to be one of them.

The Rock What You Got author and the Avengers star got married last weekend in a romantic ceremony with friends and family in California.
We seriously can’t think of a more intimidating father-in-law than “The Terminator.”
Clearly, it hasn’t intimidated Chris too much. And he fights villains too, so. Maybe they actually really bonded over that!
Katherine is reportedly the first woman Pratt dated after his split to Anna Faris.
But don’t call her a rebound.
These two are just straight-up adorbs. We can see why they got engaged after less than a year of dating!
Plus, I mean, it’s Chris Pratt. I’d get hitched to him ASAP, too.
This actor has had the glowup of glowups throughout the years.
He went from husky goofball to someone we would call “Daddy.” Just sayin’.
Even Anna seemed supportive of her ex’s new relationship.
Back when the couple first announced they were engaged, Faris wasted no time in congratulating the couple.
“I’m so happy for you both!!! I love you guys!!” the Mom star also commented on Katherine’s post.

When our exes get engaged, we send them drunken voicemails of us crying for five minutes.
But anyway, we’re just happy Anna has found happiness, too.
She’s currently dating cinematographer, Michael Barrett.
Since Anna and Chris share a son, this makes Katherine a stepmom.
So cute! Little Jack is six years old, but sadly the center of a lot of recent drama on Instagram.
And it all started with some sweet Father’s Day posts, of all things.
Katherine started with posting lots of love for her dad.
She shared this image on Instagram with the caption:
Happy Father’s Day daddy! I love you so much (even when you feed Maverick from the table)!”
Meanwhile, Chris posted this dedication to his late father that definitely didn’t make us cry *sniffs*
“Happy Father’s Day to the strongest and funniest man I ever met. They don’t make em like you anymore.”
“Which in some ways is probably a good thing. Haha!!! Love you and miss you every day Pop.”
Everything was fine and dandy, until Katherine posted this:
It’s a picture of Chris overlooking Jack as he cuts wood with a mini axe.
It was captioned: “Happy Father’s Day to my wonderful husband.”
“Watching you be such a hands on and loving father was one of the many reasons I fell in love with you, and continue to each day. I love you.”
I 100% thought that people would be furious about Chris letting his son hold an axe.
You know, parent-shamers these days. I wouldn’t be surprised.
But that wasn’t the case at all. People were shaming Katherine for something else.
At first, the comments were super supportive.
They saw the post for what it is: a sweet tribute to this awesome dad.
It wasn’t meant to take away from Anna being Jack’s mother.
But of course, the trolls didn’t see it that way.
Those trolls be trollin’.
These people considered it inappropriate for a stepmom to be posting a Father’s Day tribute.
The comments continued, with the reactions being mixed.
Even Chris was put on blast.
It can’t be easy to be in a newly formed blended family.
But I highly doubt there was any malicious intent in posting the photo.
And, TBH, I’m sure Anna is feeling just fine about it all.
While Kat hasn’t commented on the drama, we bet she’s shrugging it off.
We don’t see how people can come for her like this. She seems like the sweetest angel alive.
Her Instagram is just animal pic after animal pic. (She’s clearly after our own heart).
In the end, all that matters is that she’s happy. As a wife and as a stepmom.
Who knows, maybe a baby Pratt will be on the way someday!
