You know what I’m not expecting to see at a jungle gym? Body bags. Unfortunately, that’s precisely what parents found when they brought their kids to a local jungle gym in England, and they are not happy.
A Halloween prank taken way too far

Parents in Gloucestershire were horrified when they arrived to Rugrats and Halfpints for a fun, Halloween-themed jungle gym experience only to find the play center had made some questionable decor choices.
People were surprised, to say the least

“When I saw them I did a double take – surely that can’t be what I think it is? I just didn’t want to have to explain to my kid what they were,” a shocked parent told Sky News.
The body bags were in an odd spot

The realistic-looking body bags only able to be easily seen by any children playing inside the jungle gym, leaving parents questioning why the center thought it was appropriate to hang such shocking decorations that parents couldn’t reach.
They were not happy

“I spoke to some other parents after who were as shocked as I was that it was deemed appropriate. It’s a great soft play, but that did shock me a bit,” the same parent told Sky News.
The play center issued an apology

“This is the first time someone has brought it to our attention so of course due to this we will take them down immediately.” They told the media outlet.
This leaves me wondering how many years they’ve hung these bags without anyone noticing.
They didn’t intend to disturb anyone…apparently

Rugrats and Halfpints also said: “It wasn’t to cause distress and we apologize this is how they have felt.”
Let’s be serious here

The soft play center is intended for children ages 0-16 years, but I think we all know 16 year-olds won’t be spending as much time there as the babies, toddlers, and kids will.
So who were the decorations for?

I really do believe the play center didn’t mean any harm, but I gotta wonder what on earth they were thinking when they decided to hang body bags for kids to play with. That’s a little dark, even for Halloween.
They don’t even look fun to play with

In my professional (adult) opinion, something soft wrapped in what looks like a trash bag doesn’t seem overly fun in the first place. But maybe that’s just me.
What do you think?

Do you think they went too far, or do you think this is pretty par for the course when it comes to Halloween decorations? Let me know in the comments!
