Breast milk lotion
Another popular DIY for moms is making a lotion out of breast milk. This lotion is not only soothing on sensitive baby skin, but lots of moms use it on their own skin, too!
Breast milk lotion is also a great way to use breast milk that would otherwise be discarded.
All you need to make this lotion is grapeseed or coconut oil, beeswax, Vitamin E oil, and of course, breast milk. You can also add a few drops of essential oil if you want a specific scent.
Breast milk soap
Similar to breast milk lotion, some moms have taken it one step further by making soap out of their breast milk.
Breastmilk soap takes a little longer to make since it can take 24-48 hours for the soap to set, but it’s worth the wait!
Moms use this soap on their babies to help moisturize their sensitive skin.
My son’s skin gets so dry and it feels like we’ve tried every lotion and soap on the market. I think I’ll have to make a few of these bars.
