Announcing Her Passing

Lee’s sister, Angela announced her painful exit on behalf of the family in a lengthy Instagram post on Saturday, calling the young athlete “the best little sister in the world and the most beautiful soul who ever lived.”
She Passed Away Last Year
Although the announcement came this January, the 18-year-old superstar actually died on December 26, 2022. Angela described the sad occurrence as an experience no family should ever go through.

Angela rounded up her post by pleading for much-needed privacy and also encouraged everyone to check on their loved ones and always remind them how much they mean to them because one never knows when death comes knocking.

Before her death, Lee began making waves as an upcoming mixed martial artist but had to put her career on pause for a while in order to focus on graduating from high school.

ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong described the champ as a talented martial artist who she has watched “blossom over the years as a martial artist and a human being.”
He continued by saying he will always remember Lee for the beautiful soul that she was and how much they’ll all miss her.

The martial artist already added a Junior World Champion, IMMAF Junior State, and World Champion to her resume, including a clean slate of a 3-0 undefeated record – a win she dedicated to her loving parents.

Lee was born and raised in Hawaii. She comes from a family of MMA fighters, including her two brothers, Christian and Adrian. Her sister, Angela, holds the ONE Championship atomweight world title, while Christian is the ONE lightweight champion .
Tipped For Greatness
Lee herself has been projected to join her siblings as a world champion, earning her the nickname “The Prodigy.” She was a junior world champion in the modern version of Pankration – a form of ancient Greek Wrestling.
A Cheerleader

The late Lee showed 100 percent dedication to her siblings’ careers and would even bake them cakes after their fights. She called her brother’s recent title win in December a big inspiration.
