I’ve seen a lot of unique animals in my job as a purveyor of cute things, but I can safely say that before today I had never heard of a pink pug.
But now I have, and I must say that Milkshake is quite the adorable doggo!
Yes, Milkshake is a *pink* pug.

At first glance, you may think he’s albino, but though he has an albino ancestor he likely inherited his pale appearance from, he has none of the other markers of a true albino.
Aside from his pale, pinkish hue, there is nothing that makes Milkshake any different than other dogs of his breed.

Of course, pugs are a controversial breed and it’s always important to research the practices of any breeder you may consider adopting a dog from.
But those puppies deserve loving homes just as much as any other, and Milkshake has found himself a wonderful human.
When Maria visited the breeder, she didn’t even know pink pugs existed.

Milkshake was clearly a standout in his litter and she learned that the coloring is incredibly rare, with maybe about 100 known pink pugs in the world.
Of course, if you have a lovable pup these days, you have to get them an Instagram account.
Which Maria promptly did and @milkshakethepug now has almost 65,000 followers.
He’s a happy, healthy boy who is really, really spoiled, and really, what dog could ask for more?
