Michelle hasn’t been quiet about how important she thinks personal health and fitness is — at the Essence Festival in New Orleans this summer, she spoke about, how “we have to own our health. It’s one of those things that no one can take from you.”

“A lot of mothers will understand this, because I found myself looking around after I had my kids, and I didn’t have time for me, but my husband was at the gym every day. And I was like, well, how are you going to the gym? He was like, ‘I make time for the gym.’ I was like, what?” Michelle said, speaking about her own marriage.
Michelle proved she wasn’t just talk when she shared this picture on her Instagram.
“It doesn’t always feel good in the moment. But after the fact, I’m always glad I hit the gym,” she captioned the shot that showed off her abs.
I’m like 30 years younger than her and even I don’t have abs like this!
Her comment section exploded with people admiring her dedication.
Among tons of comments of people proclaiming the shot their fitness goals, someone wrote, “You are the light. A beautiful and strong example for all,” and another fan shared, “Nice work out! You’re an amazing role model to all girls and women!”
She had some celebrity fans supporting her as well.
