Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams’ daughter, Matilda Rose Ledger, 19, is all grown up — and looking like the spitting image of her dad. Recently, she was caught on camera while taking a walk in Brooklyn, New York.

On January 12, Matilda was seen on the streets of Brooklyn looking simple and cute with a green puffer jacket and blue jeans. She completed the look with a red purse and her uncanny resemblance to her late father.
This happened close to her father’s death anniversary
These photos shone to light just a week shy of Heath Ledger’s death anniversary. The late actor passed away on Jan. 22, 2008. He was only 28 years old.
A toxicology report confirmed that Heath’s death was due to a fatal mix of prescription drugs found in his system.

Williams jokes about her daughter
Having appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan in November 2022, she joked about how Matilda said that Williams would be “raising kids and having grandkids.” Matilda will be counting on her mother because she’d “still be in the little kids business.”
Why Matilda is far from the spotlight
Williams was very keen on keeping Matilda out of the spotlight to give her life some normalcy. She always made sure that Matilda’s routine was never disrupted and that she’d make it to her classes. Her aim is “to let Matilda feel free to be herself.”
His looks weren’t the only thing she inherited
Kim Ledger, Matilda’s grandfather, opened up to Channel Ten’s The Project in a past interview, saying: “She’s got an enormous number of his mannerisms. She’s very inquisitive, she’s got his energy, cause Heath never slept from when he was two and Matilda’s like that.”

The couple first met on the set of Brokeback Mountain in 2004. Later, they gave birth to Matilda Rose, who is a New York native, on October 28, 2005.

Kate, Heath’s sister, spoke to People in 2017 about Matilda fondly, saying: “When [Matilda] picks up her pencil, it reminds me of Heath; when she walks, it reminds me of Heath; when she gets on her skateboard, it reminds me of Heath.”
She also had plenty of respect for Williams
Kate was very respectful and appreciative of Williams’ efforts in raising Matilda to be the young lady she is, saying: “I think that she provides such a wonderful environment for Matilda to grow up in, especially in the sort of industry that she’s in.”
