Kumail Nanjiani shared an emotional yet inspiring Instagram post that sparked a lot of discussion and praise.

Kumail was announced as part of the cast of Marvel’s The Eternals at Comic-Con 2018. His immortal castmates include Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, and Richard Madden.

Until now, apparently!
He posted his transformation on Instagram, and it is NUTS.
“I never thought I’d be one of those people who would post a thirsty shirtless, but I’ve worked way too hard for way too long so here we are.” He wrote .
Y’all aren’t prepared!
“You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”
“I found out a year ago I was going to be in Marvel’s Eternals and decided I wanted to transform how I looked,” he went on.
He knows this kind of transformation is not realistic for many people.
“I would not have been able to do this if I didn’t have a full year with the best trainers and nutritionists paid for by the biggest studio in the world.”
And here. We. Go.
“I’m glad I look like this, but I also understand why I never did before. It would have been impossible without these resources and time.
So big thanks to @grantrobertsfit who started working with me at the beginning of the year and made me understand true physical pain for months and months.”
He’s the whole damn meal.
“Then, once we started shooting, a massive thanks to @davidhigginslondon and his team (@ellispartridge, @thebeardypt, @tomcheesemanfitness) for training me almost every day and making me strong, limber and injury free.”
He shouted out everyone who helped him get to where he is.
“I can almost touch my toes now. (And thank you for forcing me to do cheat meals David.) Matthews Street Catering for their delicious and healthy meals.
“And finally, the biggest thanks goes to @emilyvgordon for putting up with me complaining and talking about only working out and dieting for the last year.”

This transformation cleared my skin, filled my bank account, helped my crops flourish, and somehow still didn’t make me feel bad about not going to the gym.
Tan France had a very calm reaction to his post.

So like a calm, chill, everyday reaction to a totally normal Instagram post, in other words. He’s fine.

Kumail was suitably impressed, if his response was anything to go by.
His reply to The Rock’s comment was honestly heartwarming.
“Holy… wow,” Kumail wrote, eloquently. “Nothing will ever mean as much as this coming from you. Next time I see you, I’m hounding you for tips.”
Fellow Marvel star, ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’s’ Dave Bautista also left a compliment.
Dave, like The Rock, was a former wrestler before he jumped into the superhero world as Drax, so his praise is equally as valuable.

Sure, it’s still a shot of Kumail shirtless, but in this one he’s under a cozy-looking blanket, with a cat on his lap, playing video games.
Aside from the muscle, this is exactly what I look like when I get home from work every day.
The comments were quick to point out the only REAL change in Kumail.
Honestly, if I was ripped like that, I don’t think I’d be wearing shirts anymore either.
