Can you believe that 2002 was 17 years ago? It feels like the era of low-rise jeans, overly tweezed eyebrows and frosted lipgloss was just yesterday!
Mandy Moore and Shane West have done a lot of growing up since those days, and they reunited just to prove it!
“A Walk To Remember” is such an iconic movie.
It was just the start of Nicholas Sparks’ books-turned-movies phenomenon that never failed to make us cry.
It was also just the start of Mandy Moore’s budding acting career.

If you watched The Princess Diaries and then A Walk To Remember , it was clear that this girl had some serious acting chops.
And although Mandy disappeared from the spotlight for a few years, she’s now back and doing better than ever.

Is anyone else absolutely obsessed with This is Us ?
Actually, Mandy just received her star on the Walk of Fame, and it’s about time!

I can only imagine that getting your star is a big day in any performer’s career.
Shane West attended the event, and even delivered a wonderful speech for her.

“Mandy you’re an absolute gem. Your smile is ridiculous, seriously, it’s ridiculous. It lights up a room when you walk in. Your energy is irresistible and your heart is second to none,” he said .
“I always knew you were incredibly talented,”
“And I always knew you were going to go on to do big things and amazing things.”
“…and you have,” He continued.

“Here you are about to be immortalized on Hollywood Boulevard, and you’re about to be immortalized in Hollywood in general,” he added.
Of course, the two took their reunion as an opportunity to recreate their iconic photo from 17-years-ago.
And our hearts literally can’t handle the nostalgia.
Mandy was so overwhelmed by all the love, and who could blame her?

She is such an icon and has been able to stay relevant for nearly two decades!
Her ‘This Is Us’ family was even there in support, too!

I love this show so much even this picture makes me cry!
Mandy cemented her feelings in a super sweet Insta post later that night.

“What a surreal day. It still feels like I’m floating. Thank you to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the @hwdwalkoffame for this tremendous honor,” she stated .
“And having my family (actual and #thisisus) and loved ones on hand to celebrate? Nothing better.”

She continued, “Thank you to the best boss, Dan Fogelman and @theshanewest for the kind remarks too.”
She concluded, “To say that I’m grateful to still be doing what I LOVE and then for this kind of acknowledgment after 20 years in the business is a massive understatement.”
“Thanks for sticking w me, friends.”
It’s too bad that there’s no way for this movie to have a sequel, but maybe that’s what makes it (and Mandy) so special!

Jamie and Landon forever!!!
