Finding Johnson In A Pool Of Blood

He noticed Jones looking out from behind Johnson’s car outside. The father discovered his daughter face down on the ground, surrounded by a pool of blood when he hurried outside to investigate.
Paramedics took the 23-year-old woman to Holmes Regional Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.

According to investigators, Johnson and Jones broke up two weeks before the shooting after a five-month relationship.

According to the police, the argument between Johnson and Jones heated up, and as Johnson turned to enter the house, Jones allegedly shot her 15 times in the back.

Before their breakup two weeks earlier, Sha’Dayla and Jones shared a home. To rekindle their relationship, Jones, according to Torrance, had been “constantly contacting and bothering Sha’Dayla.”
Turning Himself In
According to police, Jones turned himself in after his mother persuaded him to do so. He confessed to killing his ex-girlfriend because he was upset that she would not answer his calls or texts.

According to the complaint, Jones purchased the gun he was accused of using to kill Sha’Dayla one week before the killing.
Detained For Murder
Jones was detained on suspicion of first-degree premeditated murder with a firearm and using a weapon during a crime.
Jones Claims Anger Made Him Do It
Carlos Lemont Jones, according to police , told them he was upset when he got up the morning of the shooting because Sha’Dayla A. Johnson had not returned his calls or texts. Officers remarked that Jones had already decided to shoot Johnson dead.
Jones drove to Johnson’s house shortly after 7:30 a.m. to murder her since she knew she had to be at work at 8 a.m. Officers noted that Jones acknowledged having a loaded 18-round magazine and a firearm when he entered Johnson’s house.
Jones To Be Charged On 19th
The Brevard County Jail is where Jones, who dated Johnson for five months, is now housed. The arraignment for him is set for January 19.
