Replicating The Moon
The ambitious $5 billion project is set to be built in the center of Dubai. Its highlight is a 735-foot-tall replica of the moon, with a 2,042-foot circumference, and will have realistic textures and craters to make it look lifelike.
Named “MOON,” the resort promises to provide an “affordable and entirely authentic space tourism experience” to customers.
A Luxurious Destination Resort
According to Michael Henderson, co-founder of Moon World Resorts, it will be “a very luxurious and contemporary, fully integrated destination resort, with a lot of components inside that one would already know.”

Suites will be equipped with high-tech features and a bevy of the most luxurious and exclusive sensory experiences.
“Windows To The Universe”
As the rooms are enclosed inside the “moon,” the suites will not have the usual windows. Instead, they will be equipped with futuristic “windows to the universe,” which will allow guests to display and visualize anything, so they can be anywhere they want in the world.
Spaceship Nightclub
Partygoers will enjoy clubbing in a nightclub that houses an alien spaceship, with music controlled by the best DJs.
Event Center
It will have an event center that can accommodate 5000 guests. Concerts and other live events will be held here.
Multi-Level Lounge
Adding to its impressive list of amenities is the world’s largest multi-level lounge, designed to look like a spaceship that crash-landed.
Futuristic Jazz Lounge
Keeping up with the theme is a futuristic jazz piano lounge with glass surroundings.
Wellness Center
Those who need to decompress and relax can enjoy the spa and wellness center, which promises to provide “life-changing memorable and meaningful experiences to soothe the mind, body, and soul.”
There Will Be A Lunar Colony
Its lunar colony will be able to accommodate 2.5 million guests a year and will also have a training space for real astronauts.
You Can Walk On The Moon
Guests can experience what it feels like to walk on the moon-like surface on foot or on a lunar rover.
“We will give you the ability in your lifetime to walk on what you will believe to be the lunar surface,” says CEO Michael R. Henderson to CNN .
Hyperspeed Shuttle Experience
A hyperspeed shuttle is also available to complete the “moon experience.”
Sustainability And Zero Carbon Emissions
On top of it all, they are aiming to have net zero carbon emissions through sustainable practices and environmental design.
Four Moon Resorts In The Future
Plans for the massive project are yet to be finalized but Henderson is optimistic about creating a moon resort. The Canada-based company’s long-term goal is to build four moon resorts to be located in the Middle East, North America, Europe, and Asia.
He told AD , “From an architectural, engineering, and design perspective, MOON can be built.”
