These are the teeny-weeny, itsy-bitsy details that were in some of your favorite rom-com movies.
They may have been added as a joke, to add validity to a scene, or maybe just to see if you would notice.
Let us know at the end of the article if you caught any of them!
1. Miranda’s Handbag

During the first scene we see Miranda in The Devil Wears Prada , she actually carries a Prada bag!
Sure it seems obvious, but a lot of people don’t notice it!
2. Murray’s License Plate

In Clueless , Murray’s license plate says “My Joint.”
Most people might have been looking at the car and so the plate went unnoticed!
3. The Colors Match

So in the Sex and the City movie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte all wear a specific color at the beginning of the movie.
In the end, as bridesmaids, they wear the same color.
4. Hitch Is A Ghostbuster

In the opening of Hitch , the titular character gives advice to one man in front of a very familiar fire station.
This fire station was actually in the original Ghostbusters .
5. The Queen Flies

This may be purely coincidental, but in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement , Queen Clarisse makes a reference to Mary Poppins when she says “I’ve done a lot of flying in my time.”
Queen Clarisse is played by Julie Andrews, who, of course, also played the iconic flying nanny, Mary Poppins.

While it could be a coincidence, chances are it wasn’t since Disney loves putting Easter Eggs in their movies.
6. The Dress

In the critically acclaimed movie Crazy Rich Asians , Rachel’s mom tells her not to wear a blue and white striped dress because it’s something you might wear to a Chinese funeral.
Later in the movie when she and Astrid are burying the fish on the beach, we see that Astrid is wearing a similar blue and white striped outfit.

I guess Rachel’s mom was right after all!
7. Hair Down

Once Peter K. compliments Lara Jean from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before on her hairstyle when it’s down, she starts to wear it that way for the rest of the movie.
8. The Madonna Pic

In 13 Going on 30 , young Jenna has a picture of Madonna on her dresser.
When we eventually go to a 30-year-old Jenna’s office, we see the same picture, except it’s actually signed by Madonna.
9. The Hoop Earings

At the beginning of Mean Girls , Gretchen is banned by Regina from wearing Hoop earrings.
However, at the end of the movie, we see her wearing them again when she’s free of the plastics.
10. “True”

In both 50 First Dates and The Wedding Singer , the song “True” is played during the end credits.
Here’s the kicker though folks: It’s two different versions of the same song!
One is the original by Spandau Ballet, and the other is a cover by Fergie and Will.I.Am.
I guess Adam Sandler (or whoever produces his rom-com movies) is a big fan of that song.
11. Miranda Actually Shows Up

While Jason Segel’s character is attempting to forget Sarah Marshall in Forgetting Sarah Marshall , at one point he pretends to be Miranda from Sex In The City .
Take a guess to who shows up in the background.
12. Jenna Becomes An Adult

In a movie that’s all about time and the manipulation of it, there is a moment in the movie that works cleverly with time.
The moment Jenna becomes an adult in 13 Going on 30 ? 13:30.
13. The Brain Hospital

In 50 First Dates , the movie where Adam Sandler is dating a girl with a rare form of amnesia, there is a very special hospital that they go to for her condition.
And what is so special about it?

Well, besides the fact that it specializes in brain injuries, they also have a pretty special name. It’s named after T.B. Callahan.
Also known as Tommy Boy Callahan, as in Chris Farley’s character in Tommy Boy .
14. Mark’s Movie Collection

You may be interested to know that Mark from Love Actually only owns one movie.
You also may be interested to know that one movie is Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window .
And hey, here’s another interesting thing:

That movie’s plot kind of reflects Mark’s life.
Rear Window is about a guy who looks out his rear window and spies on people through his camera.
15. The Gyno Mishap

After going to many, many, many different gynocologists, Ben and Alison from Knocked Up finally decide on one man: Dr. Howard.
He is seemingly perfect: he’s cool, collected, a little bit charming…
And best of all, he never goes on vacation.

At first, we believe what he says until the camera cuts to Ben and Alison. From this angle, we can totally see pictures of him on vacation. So they were warning us the whole time.
And guess what? He misses Alison’s labor because he’s on vacation.
16. The Umbrella Family

In 13 Going On 30 , there is a moment where Jenna is convinced she has an intruder and grabs an umbrella to defend herself.
Her dad did that exact thing earlier in the movie.
17. The Devil Vs. The Saint

One of the saddest parts of Love Actually is the way that Harry treats his wife Karen.
I know it’s hard to think about but stay with me for a second.
Harry, in one of his smarter moments, calls Karen a “Saint.”

However, later in the movie, the assistant he has feelings for, Mia, comes to the holiday part dressed as the devil!
18. Jenna Fischer’s Cameo

There are a lot of cool cameos in movies. Stan Lee is the king of them.
This one is, arguably, just as cool as every Stan Lee cameo.
Jenna Fischer, who worked with Steve Carrell on The Office is in the background of one scene in The 40 Year Old Virgin .
19. Assistant To The…

Alright, so there’s a bunch of runaround for this one, so try and bear with us for a moment.
This comes to us from Crazy, Stupid, Love where we see performances by Julianne Moore and Steve Carell.
The two are supposed to be married, and Julianne Moore has a nametag on her desk that reads “Associate to the Vice President”.

This is in reference to Dwight Schrute from The Office , who is “assistant to the regional manager.”
20. East Side Vs. West Side

Once again we turn to the world of Crazy Rich Asians , where we see yet another interesting dynamic between a mother and a daughter.
But this time, it’s between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law to be.
It comes during the game between Elenor and Rachel.

Elenor sits in the dealer’s chair, which is in the east, reflecting her eastern origins.
Rachel sits in the West, reflecting her New York (or Western) upbringing.
21. “Each day is better than the next.”

In Something About Mary , when Ted asks Dom about his life, he replies with the above statement.
We’re meant to think these are good words, but it actually means his life is getting worse each day.
22. Paul Rudd’s Shirt

Paul Rudd sure does a lot of wacky things , doesn’t he?
Especially in The 40 Year Old Virgin , where he plays the laid back and yet somehow super obsessive David.
But here’s one of the weirder things he did:

During the “You know how I know you’re gay” scene (it was a different time, people), you can see that Paul Rudd is actually wearing a shirt with his own face on it.
