If you can believe it, women do, in fact, gain a few pounds during the nine months in which they have a child growing inside of them. Wild, I know.
Leighton Meester recently revealed that she was fat-shamed while she was pregnant.

The devil works hard, trolls work harder.
If you use social media, then you’re probably already aware of this. But trolls do not rest. Day or night, they are hard at work to make people feel terrible about themselves.
And celebrities certainly get the worst of it.
Most recently, Gossip Girl star, Leighton Meester, revealed that a troll had the audacity to fat-shame her while pregnant with her second child.
For those of you that don’t already know, Leighton Meester is currently pregnant with baby number two!
She and her hubby, Adam Brody , are literally the most adorable parents ever .
The former *Gossip Girl* and *The OC* stars met and started dating back in 2011.
While the pair have certainly kept their relationship lowkey over the years, from what we can tell, they are #CoupleGoals.
They quietly tied the knot in February 2014, and welcomed their first child in September 2015 — a daughter, named Arlo.
“I don’t talk about Arlo very much,” she later said in an interview with Refinery 29 .
“I am very proud of that area of my life. But I’m also really proud of the show, and of the work I do.”
In September 2019, she told US Weekly : “People started telling me before [I had] a kid, ‘You’re going to really love them. Then you’re like, ‘Yeah, obviously, I’ll love them.'”
“And then you do [have them] and you’re like, ‘Oh. OK. I don’t love anyone else. I just love them. And I don’t even love myself as much as I love them! Not even close.’”
Just last month, Leighton announced that she is pregnant with baby number two, showing off her baby bump in photos.
Following her announcement, in an interview with *Shape* Magazine, she opened up about how family life has treated her so far.
“I just don’t believe in balance. I think that’s not possible if you’re a working mother — and with single mothers, I cannot even imagine that,” she said .
“Some days my husband cooks dinner and some days I do,” she said.
“Other days, I’m too tired and I eat a bowl of cereal for dinner. It’s just the thing we do to make it work.”
“I gain a lot more confidence from time with my friends and family — people whom I love, who love me and whom I’ve built relationships with”.
“And that goes for people at work as well,” she continued .
“Truly, those things are what make me the happiest,” she went on.
“And I think that, if I’m doing well on that side of things, then I’m doing well.”
Anyways, earlier this week, Leighton and her *Single Parents* costar, Kimrie Lewis, teamed up for an Instagram live stream.
During which time, Leighton addressed a troll that brazenly fat-shamed her.
I’m guessing that this troll didn’t get the memo that Leighton is several months pregnant at this point. But nonetheless, fat-shaming is never okay!
But it’s even worse to do to a pregnant woman.
“Somebody just told me I got fat,” she said. “That’s really nice.”
Good for her for candidly calling the troll out on a live stream. I’m sure that her fans backed her up!
“That is not nice,” Kimrie chimed in.
