The Weeknd’s Super Bowl halftime show was one of the most elaborate in the game’s history. What makes it even more amazing is that the musician put $7 million of his own money into the show. While most people were in awe of the incredible production value, others just didn’t get it.
Actress Kirstie Alley took to Twitter to explain her thoughts on the Super Bowl halftime show.
In case you missed it, The Weeknd gave one of the BEST Super Bowl performances of all time.
His string of hits, amazing production value, and epic dance moves made for an unforgettable performance.
Taking a look on Twitter right after the performance, fans were in awe of the star’s show.
In addition to the praise, it also inspired many, many memes.
It’s 2021 after all.
Seriously, if you can entertain people *and* give them meme content, you’re winning in 2021.
Needless to say, The Weeknd won big time in both those categories.
In addition to the memes, it seems the artist gained many new fans from the show as well.
Just a few hours after his performance, seven of The Weeknd’s songs occupied the top 10 spots on iTunes.
However, the 30-year-old’s performance didn’t impress everyone.
Actress Kirstie Alley took to Twitter to explain how much she didn’t get the performance.
As many people know, the 70-year-old is not afraid to be outspoken on social media.
Just a few weeks ago, the actress got in a Twitter battle after calling out her friend, Katie Couric.

As you may recall, television journalist Katie Couric made some strong remarks about Republican voters last month.
She referred to Trump voters that stormed the Capitol as cult members who need to be reprogrammed.
“Wow @katiecouric we’ve known each other for 35 years but if U really think I need to be deprogrammed along with 80 million conservatives ur gonna need to organize massive deprogrammers,” she started.
“Curious who they would be. Shrinks or Nazis? I hear both were good at it, yet still failed,” she concluded.
Now, Kirstie is shamelessly calling out The Weeknd’s Super Bowl halftime show performance.
She started by calling out the Weeknd’s set, which featured dozens of choral singers performing behind the musician.
“Ok this tiny town w the musicians and singers …. kind of feels more sad than exhilerating [ sic ] eh?”
She then went on to comment on the dancers’ outfits.

“Ok .. this is WAY too hospital for me .. or Hannibal Lecter,” she tweeted in reference to the face coverings.
Kirstie then interacted with some of her followers who also didn’t enjoy the performance.
“Depressing halftime show,” tweeted one fan.
“But what do you expect when the audience is 30,000 cutouts.”
She concluded her critique by agreeing with one fan who said they should replay Prince’s Super Bowl halftime show.
