Just because fans of the Kardashians get to “keep up” with their lives doesn’t mean that they see everything…
Kim recently revealed the real reason (AKA what fans didn’t see) as to why Kayne was so disapproving of her Met Gala dress.
And all we have to say is YIKES.
And spoiler alert: it has to do with fake nipples.

As all great arguments do, of course.
If you didn’t know already, the rapper has had a different outlook on things now that he’s a Christian.
For instance, Kayne recently banned his and Kim’s six-year-old daughter, North, from wearing makeup and cropped tops until she’s a teenager.
Kayne explained the reasoning behind this parenting decision to Zane Lowe for Beats 1.

“I don’t think North should wear crop tops just because I had her wearing a slip dress when she was two-years-old,” Kanye said.
“I think and feel differently now, now that I’m Christian, now that I’m founder of a three billion dollar organization and married for five years.”

Let’s not forget that this man has his own church *and* a Christan album called “Jesus is King.”

In other words, he means business.
North’s not the only member of the fam to abide by fashion rules.

On a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians , Kayne got into a fight with Kim over her Met Gala dress.
This all took place on the *eve* of the actual event.

He told her that he “didn’t realize” that the dress showing off her body was “affecting [his] soul and my spirit.”
“I went through this transition where being a rapper, looking at all these girls and looking at my wife, like, ‘Oh my girl needs to be just like the other girls showing their body off,’” Kanye explained.

He continued, “I didn’t realize that that was affecting my soul and my spirit as someone who is married and the father of now … about to be four kids. A corset is a form of underwear, it’s hot, for who though?”

Given the fact that the dress took eight months to custom-make, Kayne’s comments didn’t go over well.

“So the night before the Met you’re going to come in here and say that you’re not into a corset vibe?” Kim, clearly upset, said.
“You’re giving me really bad anxiety.”
“You knew last night I had really bad anxiety and I don’t need any more negative energy and for you say you’re now not into me wearing a tight dress,” Kim explained.
“You are my wife and it affects me when pictures are too sexy,” Kanye replied.

With fans upset over Kayne’s disapproving comments, the reality star was forced to reveal another side of the story.
During an interview on The Real , she said:
“Well the dress initially since I was wet coming out of the water, there were nipples attached to it. I think with editing I don’t know, I’m not sure if we actually put that part into that fight [on the show].”
“So, he was really certain that he didn’t want that on the dress and had mentioned it multiple times. And that was still on there so we did have that discussion.”

When it came to the final look, Kim listened to Kayne’s input and removed the fake nipples.
“I obviously want to be appropriate for my children and there’s enough for them to see already.”

“I could tone it down a little bit. I totally compromise,” she said.
In the end, Kim wore the dress — sans fake nipples — but the corset she wore ending up leaving deep indentations in her body.
“I have never felt pain like that in my life,” Kardashian told WSJ Magazine .
“I’ll have to show you pictures of the aftermath when I took it off — the indentations on my back and my stomach.”

To prepare to wear it, she even had to take corset breathing lessons from Mister Pearl, an acclaimed French couturier.
Talk about dedication!
