April Fools’ Day has offically come and gone, and it’s safe to say that Justin Bieber managed to simultaneously fool and anger a lot of people.

Justin Bieber shared a photo of an ultrasound on April Fools’ Day.
Those who had their wits about them, knew right away that it was just a prank.
He followed it up with several photos of his wife, Hailey, at the doctors.
“If U thought it was April fools,” he wrote.
And to be honest, I started to believe that he could be telling the truth after all.
That is, until he followed up with a third photo of a dog pasted onto an ultrasound photo.
“Wait omg is that a,,, APRIL FOOLS,” he wrote.
Not surprisingly, a lot of people were turned off by Justin’s joke.
There are a lot of people out there who have struggled with infertility and miscarriages, and joking around about something so sensitive really isn’t funny.
The backlash was strong enough that Justin took to Instagram yet again to respond.
“There’s always gonna be people offended, there’s also people who don’t take jokes very well, I am a prankster and it was APRIL FOOLS. I didn’t at all mean to be insensitive to people who can’t have children,” the post began .
“A lot of people I know, their first go to prank on April fools is telling their parents they are pregnant to get a big reaction,” he continued.
“But I will apologize anyway and take responsibility and say sorry to people who were offended. I truly don’t want anyone to be hurt by a prank.”
He went on to tell a tale of the time he smashed a cake in his sister’s face.
“It’s like when I shoved cake in my little sisters face for her birthday expecting her to laugh but she cried. You sometimes just don’t know what will hurt someone’s feelings not to compare pregnancy with cake in the face but it’s just to paint the picture of not knowing what will offend,” he said.
“Some might have laughed but some were offended .. I think With pranks u sometimes have to roll that dice,” he added.
We’re happy that he decided to apologize while explaining his reasoning behind the prank in the first place.
Justin is definitely known for being a prankster, so here’s hoping he comes up with something truly hilarious next year!
