Missing actor Julian Sands ’ brother is not holding out much hope that he’ll be found alive.
The British star of A Room With a View , 65, has been missing since January 13 after he went hiking on Mt. Baldy in Southern California, and a family member now fears he may never see him again.
‘I Know In My Heart That He Has Gone’

Nick Sands, Julian’s older brother, told U.K.-based newspaper Craven Herald & Pioneer , “He has not yet been declared missing, presumed dead, but I know in my heart that he has gone.”
He Wants To Be Proven Wrong

“However sibling rivalry being what it is, it would be just like him to walk out of there and prove me wrong,” the brother added.
They Were Scheduled To Meet Up For Beer

The news of Julian’s disappearance is especially heartbreaking since he was supposed to meet up with Nick and three other brothers – Robin, Jeremy, and Quentin – on January 30 for what they called their “Monday Club.” The actor is based in Los Angeles but visits home thrice a year.
“[H]e will be missed, and I guess we will raise a glass to him,” Nick said.
Mt. Baldy Was Julian’s Favorite Place

According to his financial advisor brother, Mt. Baldy was Julian’s favorite place and he often went there whenever he was in Los Angeles.
Nick Believes He’s ‘Resting Now’

“Julian liked to say ‘I have never had a holiday but I do rest occasionally’ – well he’s resting now in a place he would truly approve of,” Nick continued.
Authorities Are Still Searching For Him

It has been two weeks since the Killing Fields actor was reported missing in the California mountain range that’s been described as “extremely dangerous.” Search efforts began on January 13 and are still ongoing.
Still No Signs Of Julian

The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department has conducted a ground search and used helicopters and drones with infrared devices as well. However, they have not found any signs of the actor.
Friends And Fans ‘Will Miss Jules Dearly’

He has a wife, Evgenia Citkowitz, and three children, along with “an army of friends, fans and admirers who have been fantastic in their support and will miss Jules dearly,” Nick said.
The Family’s Statement
His family had previously released a statement thanking the members of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and the “heroic search teams…braving difficult conditions on the ground and in the air to bring Julian home.”
