Reality TV stars Kody Brown and Janelle Brown of the famous Sister Wives show are officially separated. Kody addressed this new relationship status on a sneak peep of the upcoming Sister Wives: One-on-One special , which showed at the end of Sunday’s episode.

Kody Confirms Separation Rumors
Kody Brown finally let the cat out of the bag on the situation with one of his wives Janelle. “I am separated from Janelle, And I’m divorced from Christine Brown.”
Janelle also confirmed the reports from her end. She entered the polygamous marriage with Brown in 1993 and spent 29 years as one of his four wives until their separation several months ago. This news is a huge shock to the show’s fans, as another sister’s wife, Christine Brown, announced the end of her 25-year “spiritual union” to Kody just one year ago.
Kody Recently Begged Janelle To Work On Her Connection With Him
The fandom saw Kody urging and begging Janelle to work on having a stronger bond with him after the latter admitted to questioning the arrangement for a few years now in an episode shown earlier this month.
They’ve also butted heads over Kody’s strict COVID-19 rules a couple of times, claiming that she doesn’t need to be “beaten” into submission on one occasion when Kody accused her of failing to comply with the family’s rules.
Janelle Questions The Future Of The Brown Family
She then went on to reveal some sort of epiphany she’s been having for 18 months now which made her realize she’s “pretty good and independent” and she won’t continue to “stand here and be yelled at.”
The 53-year-old also cited how they’ve never had this much conflict, referenced Christine’s exit, and further questioned the future of the family.
Kody And His Wives
Kody, who has 18 children in total, shares six children with Janelle: Logan, Madison, Hunter, Garrison, Gabriel, and Savannah.
He was also married to Christine, who divorced him a year ago, and is still in a polygamous arrangement with Robyn and Meri Brown, although the relationship between Meri and Kody is now platonic.
