Trolls are always on the hunt for their next victim. It’s usually the Kardashians — but today, it’s James Corden and his kids, and he is not putting up with any of it.
James Corden is more than just an actor, comedian, and television host.
He’s also a husband and father to his two daughters, Carey and Charlotte, and son, Max.

And as any father should, he protects his family come hell, high water, or internet trolls .
Most of the time, the rule of thumb is to ignore the haters.
But one troll took things a bit too far, and James was not going to stand for it.
The troll targeted James’ son, Max.
After performing a monologue on Monday evening’s episode of “The Late Late Show with James Corden”, he shared a clip on Twitter that referenced the most recent “Game Of Thrones” episode.
Unfortunately, the clip included a spoiler — which is what set off the troll.
After watching the clip James shared, the troll, who is evidently a fan of GoT, became seemingly engulfed in rage.
Obviously, seeing a spoiler of your favorite show sucks. But this person took things way too far — tweeting something wildly heinous, directed at James’ 8-year-old son.
“It’s [expletive] up you can’t even watch TV without a fat [expletive] spoiling something… Luckily I got to see it before this, but seriously I hope his kid gets cancer,” the person tweeted.
The tweet has since been deleted.
James described the tweet as the worst thing that has ever been said about him and his family.
But he managed to keep his composure and articulate himself calmly.
“Please take a minute and think about what you just wrote and whether you want to be a person who publicly says such things,” he wrote.
Adding “I believe you’re better than that x”.
The troll attempted to retract their statement, claiming that it was meant to be a joke.
“It was a joke like [Corden’s] segment was,” the troll fired back.
But James made it very clear that those types of comments about a child should never be made and will not be tolerated.
“Well I saw your hope for my son,” James replied.
“My hope for yours is that they never get to read that their mother or father would wish cancer on any child as ‘a joke’,” he went on.
“Because however you defend it to them, they’ll never be able to understand how you could do such a thing. Night x”
As a result of this exchange, the user’s account has been suspended.
And fans have unanimously supported James’ response to the troll — as they should.
Some fans were applauding James’ response, calling it graceful.
This person tweeted how much they admired how calmly and thoughtfully James handled the situation, and called him a “genuinely lovely person”.
Other fans were outraged that anyone would ever say something so awful.
They laid out the rules, reminding everyone that it is never okay to wish cancer on anybody let alone an innocent child.
Another fan maintained that what the troll wished on James’ son was completely out of order.
Wishing cancer on somebody’s child, under any circumstance, is absolutely vile.
Unfortunately, people feel brave enough, hiding behind their cell phone and computer screens, to say some pretty awful things online.
But James could not have handled the situation any better.
