Jada Pinkett Smith is never one to shy away from a tough conversation or hot topic on her Facebook talk show, Red Table Talk . Of course, this is the show Jordyn Woods broke her silence on a few months ago because of the open and supportive environment.
This week, Jada tackled the heavy topic of pornography and how it affects relationships.

Jada was joined by her 18 year-old daughter Willow and her mother, Adrienne Banfiled Norris.
In this incredibly open and vulnerable conversation, Jada reveals to Willow and Adrienne that she doesn’t watch very much porn anymore.

“If I was still on my porn game, I’d be able to show you some good porn,” joked Jada at the beginning of the episode as the three got ready backstage.
Jada also reveals the first time she knew about Willow viewing pornography, like many of us did back in the day, on Tumblr.

‘I remember the first time I went on Willow’s Tumblr, she was 10 or 11. She was very matter of fact, she said, ‘I’m going to my Tumblr page but as we’re going to the Tumblr page you’re going to see a lot of stuff. This has nothing to do with me,’ Jada revealed.
‘So she’s just scrolling, scrolling. And when I tell you I saw some of the most hardcore pornography on Tumblr.’

“It wasn’t! Mom. It really wasn’t” Willow insisted.
Adrienne (who is my new favorite person BTW) chimes in about how WILD this whole convo is.

“I just want y’all to know this is a lot for me,” Adrienne joked.
As far as Jada’s own porn addiction goes, she reveals she once struggled years ago when she was single.

“Back in the day I had a little porn addiction, but I wasn’t in a relationship when I had a porn addiction, believe it or not, thank goodness.”
Jada later corrects herself, “I actually feel like I was using maybe addiction a little lightly.”

“Maybe I will say now that I had a unhealthy relationship to porn at one point in my life where I was trying to practice abstinence.”
Jada revealed the dependence on porn came from an emotional place.

“It was actually like feeling like an emptiness, at least you think it is,” she shared. “But, it’s actually not.”
The talk was incredibly interesting and enlightening and I could listen to these beautiful ladies talk all day!
