Found Dead In His Apartment

According to TMZ , Jansen was found dead in his apartment by a friend who rushed to his place when Jansen wasn’t picking up his calls after missing an important meeting that day.
The Police Report Clarifies
On arriving at the house, his friend called out to him but received no response and reported seeing him sitting upright in a chair, explained the report obtained by the Orangetown Police Department.
Call 911!

The friend immediately called 911 and started performing CPR on him in the meanwhile. When the EMTs arrived, they reported seeing him lying on the ground and being “cold to the touch,” the report continued.
No Signs Of Trauma
The medical examiner refused to offer any comments, but the police notified that there were “no obvious signs of trauma observed.”

Following his untimely death, followers and fans of the actor/designer came in large numbers to extend their condolences to the grieving family and shared praises for his designs.
The Cause Of Death
The Panettiere family revealed Jansen’s cause of death in a statement saying that he died because of “cardiomegaly (enlarged heart), coupled with aortic valve complications.”

Recalling Jansen, the statement said, “Jansen’s heart could be seen in his eyes, and his charm in his brilliant, engaging smile; his soul in his masterful and revealing paintings, and the joy of life in his dry wit.”

The family concluded the statement by saying, “His charisma, warmth, compassion for others, and his creative spirit will live forever in our hearts and in the hearts of all whom he encountered.”
First Interview Appearance
Making her first interview appearance since her brother’s death, Hayden appeared on Good Morning America, where she teared up when recalling her late brother.

The show’s host Michael Strahan offered his condolences at the end of their interview, to which Hayden tearfully replied, “He’s right here with me.”
