Recalling the time she invited them to her engagement party, she said, “I invited them to my engagement party, but I don’t know if she felt it wouldn’t be a safe space for them or they just decided they didn’t want to go.”
No Room For A Union
With the kids declining the engagement invitation, Gwendlyn feels that her half-siblings just don’t want to see her. “It seems they decided they don’t want to see me.”
Not A Safe Person
She further continued, “It hurts my feelings obviously, but if I’m not a safe person for them, then I’m not a safe person for them.”
Some Green Flags
As for her other siblings, Gwendlyn revealed, “I see all of the older kids every time they’re in town will visit, but, yeah, the rest of us talk completely fine.”
Cast Aside
Sharing whether her sister, Truly Brown, has a good relationship with their father, she said, “I would be surprised if she had this particularly amazing relationship with my dad. Because the way that he treats his kids on my mom’s side, it’s just very cast aside.”
A Messy Relationship
Talking about the possibility of a positive connection between them, Gwendlyn said, “I don’t know 100 percent, but I doubt, strongly doubt, that she has a good relationship with him. And it’s not her fault, because she’s amazing and perfect in every way.”
Avoiding Misunderstandings
To avoid any misunderstandings, she included a note in her video clarifying that the “cast aside” comment was for “all of his kids except Robyn’s”
Last Month’s Events
This isn’t the first time Gwendlyn shared her troubled relationship with her father. In last month’s recap, Gwendy shared her reaction to a clip of Long welcoming his and Robyn’s children home on their return from school.
Never An Active Father
Commenting on the video she said, “I know that I should be happy for them, but seeing him be an active father with these kids really hurts. It sucks to not be able to see them.”
Not A Very Good Person
As for Robyn, Gwendlyn did not shy away from sharing her opinion about her father’s new wife, saying, “I don’t really like her as a person.”
A Public Separation
Gwendlyn’s parents, Christine and Koby, went their separate ways in November 2021, splitting a marriage of 25 years as a result.
