Look, there’s nothing wrong with aging — it’s a blessing! I will never look like the mother-daughter duo we’re going to be chatting about today, but I still think it’s fun to imagine what fountain of youth I’d have to sell my soul to look as good as my daughter when she’s in her twenties.
For the people that do share a passing resemblance to their younger child, I have to ask… how does it feel to be God’s favorite?

Like many mother-daughter duos, Lauren Marsden, 20, and her mom Cheryl Jarvis, 41 have a super close relationship.
Despite being 20 years apart, the pair, who hail from Bradford, Yorkshire, are constantly mistaken for sisters.
What a problem to have, amirite?
“Strangers can’t believe I’m Lauren’s mum. They’re always in shock and think we are siblings,” Cheryl told LadBible.
“It is flattering and a nice feeling to hear I look young.”
Instead of making her look older, Cheryl says her daughter keeps her looking young, which as a mom of two, is no easy feat!
“Lauren definitely helps keeps me young as she gives the best fashion advice and shows me what beauty products I should buy.”
“Her makeup bag is much bigger than mine so I prefer it when she gives me a makeover. She is actually better at applying makeup than I am,” Cheryl added .
As for how she maintains her rockin’ bod, it (unfortunately) involves a lot of hard work. I know, I know — I was disappointed too.
“I get up at 5am to work out – five times per week. I now help other women with a weights training programme as I am a personal trainer on the side,” she told the publication.
“Fitness doesn’t need to be hours on a treadmill and eating salad. I eat a balanced diet and drink the occasional glass of prosecco on the weekend.”
In addition to her strict fitness regime, Cheryl has been getting Botox injections for a few years now.
“Botox has helped maintain a youthful look,” she explained, before revealing another way her daughter keeps her young — photoshoots!
“I had Instagram before Lauren but her account blew up when she started posting,” Cheryl recalled. “She helps me master my posing techniques for it.
All in all, it seems like Lauren and Cheryl have a totally special bond: “I am so proud of her and chuffed that people think we are sisters.”
