A golden retriever has just won the pregnancy announcement game, so everyone else can go home now, thanks.
Kula the retriever recently had some pretty big news to share: she’s expecting puppies! But, her owner clearly wasn’t interested in posting just any other ho-hum pregnancy announcement on Kula’s Instagram page. Instead, they got creative. And honestly? Pretty damn relatable, too.

In the viral post, a rightfully sleepy Kula is photographed with her big, beautiful belly surrounded by plenty of go-to foods for those pregnancy cravings.
All the usual suspects are present and accounted for: a pint of ice cream, a jar of pickles, and of course, some In-And-Out. Because what is pregnancy if not the perfect opportunity to go absolutely ham on some In-And-Out?
“We’re gonna need a lot more pickles, ice cream, and @inandout pupper patties soon,” the hilarious post reads.
While the viral post was the first time most people learned about Kula’s pregnancy, it was actually more formally announced back in December.
At that time, a proud Kula was photographed with her pup, Rodney, who announced via a series of signs that she was going to become a sister to a new litter of puppies, due January 19.
As adorable as this sweet series of snaps are, I must say I prefer Kula’s latest pregnancy photo shoot. I’m not even pregnant, yet I somehow totally relate to those pregnancy cravings. Ice cream and In-And-Out? Same, sis, same.
But the time for Kula’s pregnancy cravings is now over, because this proud mamma just gave birth to eight adorable puppies!
The news just broke on her Instagram page on Friday, and we couldn’t be happier for Kula and Rodney! Now the pair’s nearly 7,000 followers get to enjoy even more doggo cuteness with the addition of such pups as the sweet girl pictured above!
