Gigi and Bella Hadid just shared something pretty unexpected.
They revealed they have a younger half-sister that no one knew about until recently.
Her name is Aydan Nix, and she came into their lives after a surprising twist involving their dad, Mohamed Hadid.
They said she was born after a brief relationship he had years ago with a woman named Terri Hatfield Dull.
Aydan is the fifth Hadid sister
Gigi and Bella only met her less than two years ago, but it sounds like they’ve already built a real bond with her.
They called her “a beautiful and unexpected addition” to their family, which says a lot about how close they’ve become.
A DNA test led to the big discovery
“After his passing, she decided to take a genetic test out of curiosity, and that’s how she discovered a biological connection to us.
“We first connected in late 2023, and from that moment on, we’ve embraced Aydan with open arms.”
She had no idea about her connection to the Hadids until after the man she grew up calling her dad passed away.
That’s when everything changed.
Mohamed Hadid had a short relationship after the divorce
It happened after Mohamed and Yolanda Hadid split in 2001.
The sisters explained to the Daily Mail that Mohamed was single at the time, and this “brief relationship” with Terri Dull led to a pregnancy.
Aydan grew up in Florida
“Aydan was born and raised in Florida, growing up with the man she lovingly knew as her father until his sudden passing when she was 19,” their statement continued.
She didn’t grow up in the spotlight or know about the Hadids.
Her life looked pretty different until just recently.
Meeting the family changed everything

“She’s spent time with all of us, including our dad, and we’ve cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family.”
She’s clearly gotten close with her sisters and their dad since they met.
They’ve made it clear she’s an important part of the family now.
They’ve had real talks about how to support her
“As siblings, we’ve had many open and loving conversations, with Aydan included, about how to support and protect her.”
They’re not just treating this like a headline, but really want to be there for her.
Aydan wants her life to stay private
“Aydan and her family value their privacy, and we fully respect that. We kindly ask others to do the same and honor her wish and right to her anonymity as she continues her life as a young woman in New York.”
She’s not looking for fame, just trying to build her own life now, on her own terms.
She has her own big dreams
The outlet reports that Aydan recently graduated from the Parsons School of Design in Manhattan and hopes to become a designer, stylist and influencer.
Seems like she’s carving out her own path in the fashion world, just like her big sisters, but in her own way.
