Game Of Thrones actor, Daniel Portman, has opened up about how fans have gotten handsy with him in the past and he’s not having any of it .

For as long as GoT has been around, fans have been obsessed with the show and the characters.
Sometimes fans can get a little too obsessed, however.
Daniel Portman, who plays Brienne of Tarth’s squire Podrick Payne, has been a victim of fans taking things a little bit too far.
There’s a fine line between being a fan and being kinda creepy or obsessive, and people cross that line often .
He’s recently opened up about what it’s like to have people completely invade his personal space on the regular.
Since becoming a celebrity his life has changed in a lot of ways, but this particular thing is one he could really live without.
For those of you that aren’t super familiar with the show, Daniel’s character is somewhat of a “sex god”.
This is because his character once slept with three prostitutes that insisted he didn’t have to pay because apparently, he was just that good — if ya know what I mean.
The bad news is, that “sex god” reputation of his has followed him into his real life.
Daniel has assured us that it’s not as great as some people may imagine — it’s a serious inconvenience and a major invasion of his personal bubble.
Daniel told Esquire that women have walked up to him and “grabbed” him, because they think he is the same person IRL as he is on the show.
“I’ve been grabbed by so many … like the amount of like older, older women who are very …” and then made a grabbing gesture with his hands as an example .
This is obviously a very serious violation that shouldn’t be tolerated.
Nobody has a right to touch anybody unless they say it’s okay — even celebrities that play a “sex god” on a TV show.
Daniel explained that when it happens, he doesn’t know quite how to react.
“What can you do? You know? Obviously tell them not to do it,” he said
Fortunately, Daniel said that the groping has recently calmed down — fans are starting to clue in that this is not an okay thing to do.
“It hasn’t happened for a while,” he said.
Being the optimist that he is, Daniel was able to see the glass-half-full side of this situation.
He compared his situation to Theon Greyjoy’s.
“It’s really not a bad thing, to be tied to your character. Some guy had his [expletive] cut off. Then you’ve got a guy who’s meant to be this [expletive] stallion, out of nowhere.”
Many fans tweeted in Daniel’s defence.
This person tweeted that there are too many people out there that think they are entitled to a body that isn’t their own.
This fan pointed out there this is a very obvious double standard here.
They tweeted that women should definitely not be trying to pull this stunt since they are often the ones that are victims of it by men.
Another fan tweeted how disgusting this situation is.
They went on, saying that people need to learn to distinguish real life from TV fiction. They are not one in the same.
Some fans kept it short and to the point.
This person announced that everyone needs to just keep their hands to themselves.
Something we all should have learned to do in the first grade, FYI.
