For any Americans who don’t support Donald Trump as their president, there don’t seem to be very many options available on how to deal with this, beyond voting in the upcoming 2020 election. But some of those anti-Trump people may not feel like they can wait that long.
A Florida woman has made her feelings towards the president very clear after stabbing herself and telling responding police that she did so because she was “tired of living in Trump’s country,” Yahoo News reported.
Since Trump took office in January 2017, there has been an increase in anxiety and political-related stress.

According to CBC News , health officials throughout the country have dubbed this phenomenon “Trump Anxiety Disorder” after reporting higher-than-normal instances of politics-related stress in their practices.
The symptoms largely include a feeling of loss of control and helplessness.

Disorder sufferers also reportedly fret about what’s happening in their country and spend too much time on social media, over-consuming readily available coverage of Trump’s presidency which often only makes their anxiety worse.
For one 46-year-old woman, life in Trump’s America became far too unbearable.

The unnamed Palmetto, Florida resident reportedly used a kitchen knife to stab herself in the stomach three times. When police showed up on the scene, they asked her what was wrong, and she showed them her bloodied stomach.
One of the responding officers reported seeing three stab wounds on the woman’s exposed belly.

She then told the officer, “I’m tired of living in Trump’s country; I’m tired of Trump being president,” the police report states.
The report also says the woman told officers she had been “Baker Acted” before.

This means she had been involuntarily institutionalized after being deemed at risk of harming herself or others due to possible mental illness.
Using the same law, the officer had the woman admitted to a local hospital where she was placed under a trauma alert.
The officer accompanied the woman to the hospital and stayed while she was being treated.

Once the woman was stable, she told the officer that her daughter would be at her house that night and that her daughter was aware of the incident.
