We’re returning to the world of Game Of Thrones today folks, and it’s going to be a doozy. We’re talking goofs, gaffs and other… goobers. So strap in people, because here we go.
Spoilers ahead!

Watch out people who haven’t seen “The Last Of The Starks”, because we’re going to get into it. So light your laptop on fire as soon as possible if you want to avoid them.
Some think the episode was cool.

There are those out there who think the episode was Vanilla Ice eating a popsicle on a chilly fall afternoon while listening to Freddie Mercury do that “day-do” thing at Live Aid. So, pretty cool.
Others, think it wasn’t cool.

There is a different group of “those” who think the episode was lame, was racist, was not well put together, completely ruined Season 8 and/or the series or was just generally bad. So yeah, not cool.
No matter which way you slice it, there were some important moments in this one.

Rhaegal dies, Daenerys’ fleet is destroyed, the Starks are moving in on King’s Landing, we’re really setting up for a big ending here.
And there was a cool cameo.

I’m not talking about the one by the show’s creators but we actually found out that Starbucks is part of the Game Of Thrones canon.
Apparently, there’s a shop in Winterfell.
Yeah, people went crazy for this coffee cup.
For a while, the memes were poppin’ off left, right and center. POP!
Reddit’s got something for ya. What’s that over there? POP!
It’s a Tweet about how Daenerys’ name wouldn’t fit on a Starbucks cup.
However, despite that, there was another blunder.

We should take a quick look at the landscape of King’s Landing.
Lush, green, forest-y, probably has a rabbit or two kicking around in there. Great place to raise a family, or have a cottage for summer getaways.
Or… is it?

Apparently, this is also the outside of King’s Landing.
Dry, arid, desert-y, probably has a roadrunner or two kicking around. A great place for a cottage… if you like Arizona.
Here’s a side by side comparison

Obviously, the two look very different. So what could this be?
Could this be a secret subplot that we’re not sure about? Laziness by the creators? A commentary on climate change?
Apparently, King’s Landing looks different a lot.
So you could see how people are chalking this up to laziness by the creators because apparently keeping a consistent look for a place that’s entirely CGI is hard.
See, that’s what I don’t buy.

Wouldn’t they use the same rendering/animation/whatever I’m not a CG artist feel free to correct me of King’s Landing every single time?
So they would have consistency? No, it has to be something different.
Could it have been Cersei?

Remember in The Lion King when Scar takes over Pride Rock and it gets all desolate and grey and lifeless?
Maybe that’s what happened when Cersei became queen and the hyenas took over?
Is it a commentary on climate change?

So who’s supposed to be climate change, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss? Cersei? Daenerys? The dragons?
If that’s the case, are you implying that climate change will be brought down by ballistas?
Apparently, they changed it in the intro, too.
According to one tweet (see below) the landscape of King’s Landing was altered. It’s closer to God’s Eye, eh? I’m sure… that will play into the story… and will be incredibly important…
What do you think?

Why do you think they changed the look of King’s Landing?
Sloth? Commentary? A character arc? A desire to just get through the final Season so they can put Arya on the Iron Throne and I can gloat already?
