Jinger Duggar is coming under fire for naming her youngest daughter something fans have deemed “too similar” to her sister, Joy-Anna’s daughter’s name. I know that was a lot of words and I’m confused too. People always have a lot to say about the Duggars, and this recent controversy is no different.
Let’s break it down further, shall we?
Fans of Jinger Duggar will know the 27-year-old recently gave birth to her second daughter, Evangeline Jo Vuolo, back in November.

Jinger and husband Jeremy Vuolo tied the knot in 2016 and welcomed their eldest daughter, Felicity, in the winter of 2018.
The young family has made the decision to share their life on social media, which is great for fans!

Being able to see their honesty and how they raise their family is helpful for their 1.4 million Instagram followers.
However, this vulnerability also means the pair have opened themselves up to criticism from trolls in the comments section.

The Duggar family is no stranger to criticism, and Jinger has been on the receiving end of it many times.
Just recently, the couple faced backlash for their religious COVID-19 remarks.

It’s no secret that Jinger and her husband, Jeremy, hold their Christian faith near and dear to their hearts. The pair often share their favorite Bible scriptures on social media and use their platforms to share God’s word.
Last month, Jinger’s post raised some eyebrows.
“2020, what a year it’s been,” she began .
“Many people have suffered more this year than they ever have before. Many have wept over the loss of a loved one. Countless have lost their source of income. Depression and anxiety running rampant as the future remains uncertain.”
“I have been pondering the reality of what has taken place this past year. It’s a year that has shaken not only the US but the entire world. How easy it is for us to place our confidence in health, finances, or even government.”

She continued: “I have been reminded more over the past year of the truth of God’s ultimate control over all things. Who could’ve predicted at the beginning of 2020 that it would’ve unfolded the way it did? And yet, none of what has taken place this past year is a surprise to God. He is still in control. He is still on His throne. His promises are still true.”
“One truth that I want to consistently remind myself of this year is that, regardless of the circumstances, we CAN have perfect peace because our HOPE is in Heaven.”

Jinger’s post struck a chord with a lot of followers, but not in the way she had intended, with many finding the comments insensitive to the thousands of Christians who have died of COVID-19.
Now, Jinger is coming under fire again.
In the 27-year-old’s latest post, she told her Instagram followers that she had recently been given approval by her doctor to work out again.
“I was so thankful to be able to workout throughout my pregnancy with Evy Jo. It wasn’t always easy getting motivated but was definitely worth it in the end,” Jinger wrote .
“Just got cleared to get back at it and I can’t wait.”
While some fans left remarks supporting Jinger on her postpartum workout journey, others took a different approach.

The comment section began filling up with questions about her daughter’s name, Evangeline, or Evy Jo for short.
“Isn’t Joy’s baby called Evy too?” asked one follower.
“Why [are] both [Joy’s] and [Jinger’s] kids called Evy?” asked another. “I’m confused.”
“Her daughter is Evy? Isn’t that Joy’s daughter’s name?” echoed a different follower.
For those who don’t know, Jinger’s sister, Joy-Anna Duggar, has a daughter named Evelyn Mae.
Joy-Anna gave birth to her daughter three months before Jinger.
So we have an Evy Mae Forsyth and an Evy Jo Vuolo — it’s confusing but I believe in us!
To be fair, I don’t know how happy I’d be if my sister copied my baby’s nickname.
There are so many names out there, it’s wild that they have both landed on the same one!
Neither Duggar sister has commented on the confusion.
