The Duggars always find their way back into the news!
The super conservative family became accidental Instagram troll material when they posted a picture of them making deviled eggs.

Except…they don’t refer to them as deviled eggs. They call them “angel eggs.” And, as you can imagine, the internet went nuts with it.
The Duggars rose to fame thanks to their show on TLC
Their first show was called 17 Kids and Counting , and followed the lives of the Duggar family as they added to their growing brood.
The parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, don’t believe in birth control. Hence those original 17 kids.
As the family expanded, so did the show
Next came a name change: 18 Kids and Counting . Then 19 Kids and Counting .
The series was canceled in 2015 following sexual assault allegations (four of which occurred to his sisters) against the Duggars’ oldest son, Josh.
However, the cancellation didn’t stick
After multiple admittances of guilt and appearances on talk shows, Josh was removed from any appearances on the show’s spin-off, Jill and Jessa: Counting On .
That show originally focused on the family lives of two of the eldest Duggar sisters.
Now, it’s been renamed Counting On , and is basically just 19 Kids Minus Josh .
The family’s strict beliefs are showcased in “Counting On”
No one is allowed to wear shorts or tank tops, and women cannot wear skirts above the knee while under their roof.
The family doesn’t visit beaches or swimming pools, as that amount of nakedness would make it hard for men to avert their eyes.
Michelle Duggar says that those guidelines are mandated by scripture.
They also control what content the family consumes
Their internet is filtered.
As for television and film, they only allow programs that are wholesome and family-friendly.
Shows and movies that depict historical events are also permitted in the Duggar home.
They don’t allow their children to date
…Well, not without a chaperone, anyway.
The Duggars practice “chaperoned courtship,” which involves dating in a group setting.
Boys and girls are also not allowed to hug traditionally. Instead, they must do side-hugs.
So yeah, they have a lot of faith-based rules
Clothing, dating, media — everything is carefully monitored.
You’d never think that food also fell under that category, but apparently, even eggs are not free of Duggar censorship.
Well, ones with the “d” word in them, anyway.
Cooking with the Duggars
The Duggars uploaded this picture of Michelle, Johannah and Jordyn (all their kids have “J” names — the Kardashians must be quaking) making deviled eggs.
Sorry, my bad. A Michelle says: “Made some “Yellow Pocket Angel Eggs” together with Johannah and Jordyn! They’re one of our favorites!”

Though the origin of the term is unknown, the use of the phrase “deviled” dates back to the 18th century.
In the 19th century, “deviled” was used to describe food that was “zesty” or “spicy.”
Yes, I looked up deviled eggs on Wikipedia.
Uh yeah I’ll take an order of these

The question we’re all asking
From what I can tell, they’re adding sliced bacon to their deviled eggs.
I thought they would have at least chopped it up a bit more before sticking it in there, but I guess not!
The tea got a little hot
It’s interesting that the Duggars chose to ignore this part of Leviticus, but strictly adhere to the part that allows them to speak out against the LGBTQ community.
But anyway, that’s that on that.

I love how wholesome this is! Whoever @debbielovespaul’s friend is, they’re clever af.
So much of the comments in that post are people either angrily yelling at the Duggars, or on the Duggars’ behalf.
This is a great middle ground.
However, I did a little googling
Remember when I said that I looked up deviled eggs on Wikipedia?
Well, I learned a little something: “The term “angel eggs” has also been used in association with fillings with less fat and cholesterol.”
Unfortunately, the addition of the bacon makes me think that this wasn’t the reason the Duggars used that term.
But at the end of the day…
…it’s definitely wasn’t the Duggars who had the last laugh.
And I just wanna say, from the bottom of my heart…that it is an absolute shame that “600” isn’t “666.”
What a missed opportunity.
