If you’re anything like me, you’ve scrolled through Netflix for hours on end trying to find something to watch on a cozy Saturday night, or a stressed-out Tuesday evening, or an “I’m up waaay too early” Thursday morning.
While we await the next seasons of Bridgerton and Stranger Things, we’ve already rewatched Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story like 15 times. Needless to say, things are getting desperate.
Thankfully, it seems we’re not alone in our quest for something new to watch as some Netflix subscribers have rediscovered a series that is being called the “best show” on the streaming service.
Scrolling through Netflix to try to find something new to watch can be overwhelming, to say the least.

There are so many titles it can be nearly impossible to figure out what to watch next. To be honest, I have given up searching and just rewatched The Office more times than I care to admit.
So when someone comes to me with a new show recommendation, I am all ears.

Of course, it has to be someone I trust. I once took a Netflix show recco from a man I met on the subway and let’s just say, I’ll never be the same after watching that one.
A source I do consider trustworthy is the Netflix Bangers Facebook group.

This group is filled with millions of TV and movie aficionados who love to recommend and discuss the titles available on the streaming platform.
It’s a great resource for those looking for advice on what to watch next!
A show that continues to come up is a show that has been out for AGES (okay, since 2016, which feels like a lifetime ago to be fair) called ‘Queen of the South.’

The show follows Teresa Mendoza who is forced to go on the run and seek refuge in the USA after her drug-dealing boyfriend is unexpectedly murdered in Mexico.
Once Teresa gets to America, she teams up with someone from her past to bring down the leader of the drug trafficking ring that is trying to find her.

If that didn’t sound wild enough already, get this— during this process, she learns everything there is to know about the lifestyle and positions herself as the leader of the Cartel.
If that description alone doesn’t convince you that this show is worth your time, let me give you some rave reviews from our friends at Netflix Bangers.

“If you haven’t watched Queen of the South you really need to. It’s fun, you get hooked on the first episode and every episode is great,” wrote one fan.
“Absolutely one the BEST, hands down” agreed another fan.

“Queen of the south is the best thing that has ever happened to internet,” said a different fan.
Now I gotta say, that’s some very high praise considering UberEats exists.
It’s also important to point out that it’s a great show to start watching since all the seasons are out, so there’s no waiting for YEARS in between.
I’m looking at you, Bridgerton. There is no reason to be taking two years in between seasons, okay? At this rate, I’ll be long gone by the time Hyacinth gets married.
Basically, the moral of the story here is ‘Queen of the South’ rocks and we’ve all been missing out for years.

“Guys Those who enjoy a bloody excellent cartel show – Queen of the south is for you -This show is a masterpiece. Its thrilling & exciting,” raved one Netflix user.
“THIS SHOW IS THE BEST OMGGG SO MANY TWIST AND TURNS,” echoed another.
And with that, I’m off to go watch this seemingly fabulous show, and I think you should, too!
