The movie emerged victorious from a strong pool of competitors racing for the Best Picture Award such as Women Talking, Top Gun: Maverick, All Quiet On The Western Front, Triangle of Sadness, Elvis, The Banshees of Inisherin, Avatar: The Way of Water, TAR, and The Fabelmans.
Best Actor In A Leading Role
The Oscars for Best Actor in a Leading Role was swept by Brendan Fraser for his role as Charlie in the movie The Whale .

Fraser tearfully accepted the award and said, “So this is what the multiverse looks like. I thank the Academy for this honor and our studio A24 for making such a bold film.”
