DC has finally graced fans with the first full trailer for the new Superman movie after director James Gunn had teased that ‘trailer 1.0’ was yet to come out.
We finally got a full trailer

After months of releasing teasers and behind-the-scenes looks into the DC Universe story, fans finally got to see the real trailer for Superman.
In April, the movie’s director James Gunn expressed that he didn’t consider those teasers the actual trailer.
Gunn had expressed his excitement
The director was pretty excited to show fans the full trailer, saying at the time that he ‘couldn’t wait’ for fans to get a proper look into the story.
“You haven’t even seen trailer 1.0. yet – only a teaser and a sneak peek!” he said.
The trailer is enough to hype fans up

The trailer is just as you would imagine, showing clips of David Corenswet as the latest actor to take on the iconic role, both as Superman and as the unassuming Clark Kent.
The movie is set in the early days of Superman’s career as he tries to remain kind “in a world that finds kindness old-fashioned.”
It’s a star-studded cast
The cast of the movie is a big one, with Corenswet being joined by Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, and Edi Gathegi, among others.
In the movie, Superman seems to face a new villain, referred to in teasers as the ‘Hammer of Boravia’.
Fans are loving the trailer
Since it came out on Wednesday, May 14, fans have been expressing their love for the trailer.
One person wrote, “Tbh from what I can see, this superman feels more human and seems to have more personality than I remember previous ones having.”
People praised the director

Fans seemed to really love the approach to this movie, with one person writing, “Superman’s outrage that someone would question whether saving people was the right thing to do is the most Superman thing ever. James Gunn understood the assignment!”
Corenswet seems ready to take on the challenge
Of course, portraying a hero like Superman is quite the challenge, but Corenswet seems ready to take it on.
He even told Time Magazine he’d be doing it even if it meant it was his last role, saying, “Would this be worth doing if this was the only thing I do as an actor for the rest of my life? I think the answer is yes.”
Gunn previously praised Corenswet
Talking about Corenswet’s craft, Gunn said, “I’ve seen sets that cater to an actor or director’s ego and that’s just not something that would happen with David. He is Superman, even in his nerdiness. He listens to old jazz standards. Like that’s what he listens to, just as normal procedure. Like Superman, he’s a simple man in complicated times.”
Superman is set to come out in theaters on July 11.
